I use the Spicer forged u joints when I want strength. Afordable and have never broken one yet. Something else lets go before the u joint.

The original ones are cast. If he machines one out of CRS, that woild be stronger and last even longer.

Hey Mike, I was there looking for 2 crank up landing legs for M101's. No luck, but John said he would look for some for me and I can pick them up the next time i'm passing thru. If he found them, check it out and see what kind of shape they are in. Thanks

Everytime I ever shimmed a starter, I would take the solonoid off and then bolt it up. Then you can move the bendix drive in and out by hand.
