That's good information. We know that it is an organized effort to influence every state. I wonder if the national association will be satisfied with each state making laws or if they will push against on-road use no matter what.
Sand down the rust as close to clean metal as you can get it. Apply Ospho. The best way to get rid of rust (if it’s really bad) is to cut out the rusty metal and weld new metal in.

You guys might look into getting ham radio licenses. The ham bands would cover your needs. Radios, amplifiers and good antennas are plentiful in ham radio. You'll also have the advantage of being able to network with other hams.
