Need some interior hardware sizes ....

I don't have my M1008 nearby, so I can't measure myself. But my buddy did give me a lead on a couple of new Chevy squarebody's that were dropped off at a junkyard. So I'll be on my way out there to see if I can snag a new bench seat, seat belt, and dashpad. Does anyone know the bolt size of...

    I've got electrical questions (M1008)

I've been having various troubles with my glow plug override button and dash lights. I'll try to go through these one by one. First, the glow plug override. If I push and hold this after a few weeks of not running the truck, it rarely starts. I've learned that if I "pump" the button or hold...

Can anyone tell me if a bench seat from a 1982 C10 will bolt into a 1985 M1008?

Guess I've got a dead cylinder. Now what?

All I really know about the truck is that is had a full go through 2 years ago, and got new injectors. Then it sat almost untouched for 2 years until I showed up to buy it. I pulled the oil cap and there is zero blow by. It is spitting a little white smoke. I talked with another guy on the...

Guess I've got a dead cylinder. Now what?

Truck wasn't sounding right, so I took it in for a compression test. Sure enough, Cylinder #1 has 0 PSI, but all the others had 400 psi. What's my next steps?

    Oh I went there.

    Driver side seatbelt?

I assume so. I mean when I pull it out, it won't retract or anything else. Just lays limp.

    Dashboard disassembly schematics?

My moss isn't as bad as yours. I'm considering using an orbital sander to get rid of it, then paint the whole truck. Looking at your under seat area, makes me wonder. Mine was much fuller of crap. I'm almost afraid to get into that dashboard now.

    Dashboard disassembly schematics?

It sounds like we share the same truck. Moss on the side, truck full of mice sitting in a field.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I just cut the lock off because I didn't have a key. I'll get a new lock as the chain is still there.

    Dashboard disassembly schematics?

This M1008 I picked up is so full of mouse poop that I'm convinced I'm going to need to completely gut the cab to clean it out. Does anyone have good diagrams or step-by-step instructions for this process?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I'm new to an M1008A1 and the site, so I've been doing the basics. Hosing out all the mouse poop and piss. Trying to find a solution to the smell. Added some radiator sealer to hopefully stop the leaks. Cut off the handy chain lock for the steering wheel. Getting ready to pull the heater...
