This is a timely thread for me as well, as I am ordering parts today to replace my rear seals that began leaking on the drive home.
If you get yours apart first, please post some pics to go along with it, sometimes the drawings in the TM's dont match in my eyes to what I am actually looking...
Thank you for "making it easy"!!![thumbzup]
If I am correct, that is what this site is supposed to be about.... helping each other enjoy the hobby. Far too many times instead of giving a helpful answer, I see comments like "read the TM" or "do a search, there are already threads about this."...
And cannot forget one of the best parts of the recovery operation.....
The cheese factory in Beaver Utah!!! [thumbzup]
if you are passing through the area... ya just gotta stop. Not to mention if you eat enough, it cuts down on the rest stops....if you get my meaning.
And in case you are wondering what a rabbit see's......
This was outside of the rear gate in Barstow, on the way to the fuel station to get some fuel for the trip...
Well the recovery went well! 1,250 miles and 38 hours later we are home. I will add pics to his thread. His drive wasnt quite as long as I live further north of him.
And I thought I would throw in a short video from my recovery...
Taking pics along the way, but we just missed taking one of M915 that was on a flatbed going north bound I-15 just north of Overton Nevada..... who got that one? Paint looked good going by at 75MPH.
another newbie soon....
We our on our way down to Barstow to recover my brothers' M925 :jumpin:, only this time he gets to drive in the heat, and I will be in the chase car!!!! So another newbie will be here shortly!
Speaking of peoples reactions.... I have been in that game for a couple of years prior to getting my M923. I also have a Japanese mini truck, 100dollarman can probably appreciate this... "Dr. Evil and mini me"

I went down and drove mine back a few days ago. It was alot of fun! :driver:
I will be on/in the Barstow lot this wed morning and would be happy to check out your truck- and...
hwcurtice- I wish I could add A/C!
Tow4- That is basically how it happened... I got the "fine", which we all know means: "if you do it will be h#@& to pay", so I jumped with both feet and did it anyway. (I blamed it on my brother as well, since he got a M925 as well!)
islandguydon- the...
Very nice trucks indeed! I am glad to see I am not the only crazy one to pick one up in Barstow and drive it home! Glad you had a successful recovery, wish us luck, we are going back down next week to recover a M925..... and drive it back to Utah as well. I guess I am a slow learner. But this...
