I've just been looking at the m998A1's that have gone through gov planet and they all seem to have the cast spring mount with the progressive springs. Figured that's when they upgraded them.

Those are called well nuts, they go in a hole in the a pillar and allow you to attach the side channels. I picked some up from lowes in their special fastener section.

I use dextron 3 in the power steering and it seems to work pretty good. I left the runflats in my wheels and used probably about 2 quarts of antifreeze per wheel to balance them. It still shakes a bit sometimes but its a hummer so I just try and ignore it.
