    Flat tire

I used a 3" ratchet strap to compress the rubber run-flat after I removed the wheel halves. Wasn't really too bad honestly. After compression I used a pry bar to gently work it out of the tire.

    np242 drive shaft help needed.

I'm going to be swapping a np242 transfer case into my hmmwv when I do the cummins conversion. Right now the truck is a 93 m998 with a 218. I've been looking online and it seems there are a few different rear drive shafts that work with the 242 and I don't know which one I need. I think I have a...

    Flat tire

I didnt use grease in mine when I reassembled them. It's only if you plan on driving the 30 miles at 30mph on the runflat, I'm not in a warzone, I'll just stop and replace with the spare. Oring depends on the style of 12 bolt wheel you have, the later style has an extra hole in the stud area for...

    Run flat question

The run flat also acts as a bead lock. You wont just get a flat, the tire can actually come off the wheel without them.

6.5L Diesel Repair, Replace or Modify/Upgrade with Duramax/Cummins/Other

Good thread about a cummins conversion. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?66350-New-Cummins-HMMWV-project-in-the-works! I myself have a cummins 12v sitting in the garage thats just about done. I'm putting a mildly built 47rh behind it with a 242 t-case.

    Adding old oil to fuel?

I was adding the same, about half a quart when I filed it up. It started when I started adding it and stopped when I didn't, so it's the only thing I changed. I'm thinking that the different combustion properties of the oil changed either the start or duration of the combustion and that caused...

    Adding old oil to fuel?

It made my 6.2 knock a bit, I thought a rod bearing was going bad or something. Stopped adding the 2 cycle and the knock went away.

I have no idea, hopefully someone who has done it will chime in.

    Wipers not working

There is a contact connector between the windshield and the body that powers the wiper motor, sounds like it doesn't have a solid connection. Part number 12339327

What is the deal with door prices?

Since everybody started buying hummers and hummer parts the prices have gone up. I got my whole 4 man kit NOS for like $300 haha

How much weight are you guys pulling with the 6.2L?

I believe the 1993 h1 was rated to 10k pounds, but I can't see it going highway speeds with that much.

EESS PCB replacement for the HMMWV ?

After you charged the batteries back up and connected to them to the truck while everything was off, was there a spark? There isn't supposed to be any load without anything on. I've had my s3 box fry a relay which left the glow plugs on and killed the batteries really quick.

    Run flats

Those pieces arent wide enough to span the full inside of the wheel, they are only half.
