Go to Mountain Gear Surplus in Asheville NC they have all kinds of tents both in the canvas and vinyl type. They also carry every other type of military tents.
I like the idea of moving the cabinets over and removing the ovens. I have a 30 in propane grill that I would prefer to use versus the ovens. I think we will bw doing a few mods this winter. We have 2 MKTs and we used MKT #1 3 times this summer, one meet we feed 4 meals to over 200 persons...
We will moving out f our existing garage in the next few weeks and we needed a place to pass the winter so we purchased a Maintenance tent 48 ft x 20ft x14ft. The tent is new with exception of the front door panel which will be replaced, the kit came with all the lights and everything I needed...
Next time you go to a tire shop ask them to torque the nuts to the same specs as a large commercial truck. We tighten all our nuts and then use a torque wrench to make sure everything is equal. I had a one ton that the garage overtightened the lugs and they cracked some bolts and I lost a set...
Yesterday we were working with the wrecker trying to reinstall a box with cage on a M35 Cdn, we tried to lower the stabilzer legs on the rear of the truck. Dvrs side no problem, passenger side jammed tight we could not extend the leg, we tried everything until finally we used the cable on the...
Today I was working with my M816 Wrecker and wanted to lift a cargo box with cage onto a M35 so we decided to put down the rear stabilizer legs, drivers side comes out very easy. Passenger side FORGET IT, no way could we pull it out of the sleeve it sits in.
Finally we took the boom and cable...
Too bad you are far away, I have a complete set of screens and canvas, spare MBUs x5 , cabinets etc.. shipping from Canada would kill you. But you have a nice unit, what did it sell for from GL if you don't mind my asking. The 3 MKTs I have bought were from authorized dealers and they cost...
if you can get them for $400, there is about 1800lbs of aluminum @.50cents @ lb. I scrapped a unit and got over $900 for the aluminum and I still have the trailer frame.
The one I saw seemed prety straightforward and appeared easy to make, if I remember right the base fit in the round hole on the deck of the Mule and had 3 legs. I already put a removable no modification second fold down seat so the Mule can carry a passenger. Me when the wife is around. We...
Well nice Mule, I bought a Mule from Dave at the Gilbert Show. it is great and it runs great. If you need parts ask Dave he has nearly everything. I really liked dealing with Dave good people. At the Gilbert Show he had a mount for a 106mm RR, did he mention that to you??
Well here is my 2 cents worth. is it really worth all the hassel and trouble to use WMO etc. I know diesel is $3.00 + @ gal.
But if you figure your time to collect, clean and store the product plus all the potential troubles with dipping/fines, is it worth it?
It is great as an emergency backup...
There is absolutly no way you can overload the front axle by putting the towbar on the front bumper, even if you had a winch mounted. A towbar weights 100lbs+-, the front axle and springs can carry 5 to 7 tons no problems. Don't forget the deuce is rated to carry a load of 2 1/2 tons cross...
The tray and stand came with the truck, it is basically a radio tray with a tubular leg bolted to the floor and the bottom of the tray, then it is bolted to the dash. It is very solid, when we don't have the radios in, it make a great lunch tray.. This installation is for the newer type...
I have a 1031 and here are a couple pictures of the radio tray mounted in the cab. we can mount the 524 and some of the newer radios. Also makes a great table in the cab.
