Hi all.
If you would like to electronically sign the petition to have
Herr Flick's Panther that was confiscated from him by the German
authorities returned...
First, get the correct support bracket, or you will end up with more problems
than you really want to deal with. I am not saying that it will fix your problem,
but it just might be the reason for the clearance problems. I don't know.
Make sure you have the correct support bracket since they are different for the two types.
Since you had a problem getting things to fit, I think it is worth checking out.
I can see removing the glow plugs after an IP swap to help with
priming the system, but that seems a bit excessive for just a filter change.
I strongly suggest that you install a solargizer to help keep your batteries
maintained. I mounted the little solar panel right on top of the dash pad
to...
I'm not sure what the problem is since I now have the gear reduction starter,
but make darn sure you pursue this until you get it bolted up on that support.
There are a ton of horror stories about those that decided to forget about it.
If you are hearing air, then my guess is that you need to check the air pack.
I had to rebuild mine years ago. I may have replaced it from an M35 one I had, but I really don't
remember. At the very least, there is some special oil that needs to go in there. Not much,
I think it is like a...
If the gen has remote starting, etc. and depending on your layout,
you might consider choosing the connector so that it includes the
wires for remote, so it's all in one cable. I figure you know this, but it;s easy to get
distracted by a million other details of the project.
I would think that you could remove the existing connector from the panel and
replace it with whatever you want. I am sure you have considered this but ran into
some difficulty in doing it. Just curios as to what you ran up against.
I take it you turned in the old pump as a core. If not, then I would try putting the old pump back in
to see if the new pump is the problem. but I suspect you have already thought of that.
Good Luck!
Just a guess, but could be there is something blocking it in the steering gear.
Might go thru the procedure in the manual that deals with adjusting the steering gear.
This could be one of the reasons that contributed to the pump failure.
This is just a guess tho.
the brake bleeder screws are 7/16 x20 TP inch (fine thread) both bleeder hole and line port.

I am not sure if the bleed screws for the air pac are
the same.
Remember, there are two required per brake assembly
since there are two wheel...
Here are the links and part numbers of the russell speed bleeders for the M1008
