Hopefully there is a SS member in this area that can help me with an easy transport job. I can't pay a lot of money but I don't expect this to be done for free.
I am getting bled to death by a storage place in Richmond and I need to move a S280 type shelter
which is fully mounted on a dolly...
Originaly these had silicone brake fluid, so you need to look into wheather you need to flush the system and put silicone back in or find out what needs to be done to replace with DOT 3.
I don't have all the answers but guys on here will point you in the right direction.
Good luck and welcome to...
This is just my opinion. If the glow plugs are working, then everything should fire up right away.
Otherwise you would get an imbalance of firings, which might not be that big a deal in the short
term, but over an extended period may cause the symptoms you are seeing.
I could be totaly wrong...
Possibly the reason for the engine running starter protection has to do with
combat situations where all **** is breaking and you jump into a truck to

Bruce
I need a little help understanding how to do an advanced search.
For example:
I know there is a post that contains the following information:
It is in the CUCV forum
it concerns flushing cooling system
The poster suggested using some pvc pipe
to divert the water from the upper radiator hose...
Just a heads up. It is possible that the previous owner might have converted over to DOT3,
although very unlikely. Just be sure to check. Mixing the DOT3 and DOT5 will cause major
problems.
Here is an idea for someone with critical clearance problems. Same ramp as the OP, but add
a pair of small wheels at the end of each ramp. set up a small stand alone ramp under each
ramp. Load the vehicle on the ramps, then pull forward the length of the small ramps allowing
the two main ramps...
For longer runs, I think you could just fab up something that could attach
to the middle and have a way to adjust its height. Aka landing leg type thing.
Just my 2 cents
We gave Brad a call today to wish him Merry Christmas, and he is
hanging in there. He may be selling a very sweet Marine truck in the near future.
I didn't get any of the details other than one of them only had 500 miles on it
and only a small number were built. Can't say anything more due to...
