    Deuce start up?

I never use the throttle during a cold start and I do not bring up the RPMs until the oil pressure comes up.

Need Trans of Jeep Windshield from NC-NY

Have you considered shipping it via Greyhound bus...I have had a full size pickup truck tailgate and a Willys MB windshield frame w/glass shipped via Greyhound and it was pretty reasonable. That is if the seller is willing to pack it and take it to the bus stations for shipment.

    Air force Deuce production

FWIW - I have an 86 ex-USAF truck and it does not have dual cirucit brakes, while my oldest son had an 87 ex-USAF truck and it did have dual circuit brakes. IMHO - I would be more concerned about the overal condition of the truck itself and I would go with a truck with single circuit brakes...

My truck does not have any issues going into or out of second gear and I always start in 1st gear, even when I do not have a load.

    AVM or Selectro Hubs

I like the Ouverson and AVM hubs, but went with Selectros because they do not stick out as much. I have had them for over (4) years now without issue, but then I only have a couple thousand miles on them.

    LDT-465 in a daily driver?

I could visualize something similar to this beefed up to support the LDT 465.

Which is the Hardest Bolt or Nut to remove from the Deuce?

The plug you remove to lube the airpack...I usually end up lubing the airpack by removing the "J" pipe.

Picked up my new tires today!

I cannot answer the mileage question since I have only put ~500 miles on the truck since I put the tires on, but I am hoping I will wear the tread out before the sidewalls start cracking.

Does this color look good on a MV?

I think it looks fine and I would carry on with the project using the rustoleum paint.

    Selectro locking hubs

I am very satisfied with the selectros on my truck. The changes a subtle, but here is what I noticed after installing them: -Turns sharper. -The hill by my house that I used to have to take in 3rd I can now take in 4th. -Increase in MPGs. You may want to consider the AVM or Ouverson hubs as...

Got rid of my 156ft vessel!

Congrats on selling your ship. I used to have a money pit similar to that but on a smaller scale. She was a 70' wooden tug built in 1941. She was a sweet boat but very labor and money intensive and mooring was just a bit over $700 month. I sold her in 2007 for a 5th of what I had invested in...

    Deuce Drop sides

I love my dropside bed... I call it a poor man's dump bed, being that it is much easier to offload gravel and dirt with a frontend loader tractor.

FYI - I have not seen it in person, nor do I have an affiliation with the owner. If I were not currently unemployed I would surely be tempted. 2 1/2 TON ARMY TRACTOR TRUCK
