Both the trailer I bought years ago from gov liquidation and the hmmwv had the respective names on the sf97, not mine. If they don't take the reassignment form then you are supposed to get the Florida title.
No need to pull the radiator, you're just gonna have to stick your arms through the fan blades to get to the bolts holding the clutch to the pulley. They are socket head cap screws, not sure on the size though.
Definetely not just a swap and bolt. The passengers side is easy as you just put the plate on the battery cover, mark your 4 holes, and drill some new ones. You also have to notch the center section of the battery box where the front right bolt will hit it. The drivers side is much more work...
Figured I'd add some of my more worthwhile mods I've done. First is the reverse lights and conspicuity tape. The reverse lights are dually diffused lights from rigid industries and are super bright. Not only can you see whats behind you, but others know you're backing up also. There is already a...
Came across a kit, pn: 57k3503, that looks like it replaces the hard lines with flexible ruber ones. I'm about to replace all the rotors and pads on my truck anyways and was wondering if this was a worthwhile mod while I'm in there. Did a search but couldn't really find anything. Anybody have...
It would definitely be cheaper, and just a bit easier. The only real advantage the h1 hitch has is that it was designed to accommodate the auxiliary fuel tank they have, so if someone ever wanted to got that rout they wouldn't have to change anything.
You know, that never actually occurred to me haha. Isn't the point of buying a hmmwv to see how many accessories you can fit on it at one time anyways though? :-D
Alright I'll explain it here then also. Basically there are 2 styles of hitches for the h1, an early style and a late style. The late style hitch seems to be much more sturdy so that's what I went with and what I ordered the parts for. The late style hitch looks like this:
There are 4 brackets...
I'm in the middle of putting one on my m998. You will need an airlift bumper if you want to use a stock hitch off a h1, or you could make something custom.
I use Shell Rotella T 15w-40 in the engine. Power steering, transmission, and transfer case all get dextron 3, usually house brand of wherever I'm shopping. Valvoline 80w-90 in the diffs and hubs.
Take it apart and see what you find, just be slow not to break anything. My s3 box has broken twice and both times I was able to get new components and have it repaired by someone skilled at that type of thing.
Interested also. That looks like a passenger side one, I know they also made drivers side versions. I think I've seen trucks with condensers on both rear fenders also.
