it looks like the general vote is the AC60G replacing the terminals with the larger spade and buy them from either napa or advanced auto. And while making those changes bypass the 24 volt side and use 12 only. Those are the recommendations that I was looking for. answer received.

If you disconnect the negatives first and then the positves you will be ok. IT will allow the batteries to charge evenly if separted. I didn't spell out how to do the job, I thought it was common sense.

You might be best off disconnecting all the batteries and using slow chargers, charge them independantly of each other. One bad battery can kill 3 good ones.
