There have been several posts about this in the GL section. General consensus is that the gov will do a sweep of the dials and if they radiate, the offending dials will be removed and the truck is cleared for sale in it's new radiation-free state. If no radiation then you're just out the time...
Welcome ICAT. I am new myself and just purchased a lot from Clearfield in the last auction. Can't wait for the EUC to clear so I can go pick it up.
FWIW a SS member was kind enough to look the lots over for me, and the help he provided was invaluable and made my purchase possible.
My only...
In this case the 'usage miles' ties almost exactly to whats showing on the odometer. Is this indicative of the odometer not being reset/replaced at a rebuild? i.e. is it indicative of actual real chassis miles?
From reading your first post it seems like it, but that seems too good to be true.
Someone must have spiked the GL coffee pot on Friday, I had the same turn-around. Submitted info on Friday, website updated with 'sent to battle creek' on Monday.
My first EUC, I'm liking it so far ;-)
I just started doing all this research myself, as I am in sacramento and getting ready to purchase my first M35A2.
After several phone calls and quite a bit of time online I have found the following:
fee structure for the M35A2 is no different than any other pickup truck
vehicles 3 axles and...
Tks for the counsel. I am unfamiliar with this, so not sure how/when inventory refreshes (read a lot of posts where folks were getting panicky in late '09 that the supply from the reserves were going to start drying up) and still working out how likely I am to see that 'great deal' again in 3...
I did check the classifieds, couldn't find anything much closer than UT. Tks for the info on Dieselsmoke, I wasn't aware of that one. Auburn is about 20mins away :).
No dice right now on Barstow, Mclellen, French Camp, or anything closer than Clearfield. Do these things turn over fairly...
Markmontana - tks for the offer to help with recovery and storage, bummer you'll be out of town before the auction.
Anyone else? Understand Hill can be tough to work with, really appreciate any help on this one.
Looking at 2 M35A2's in Clearfield UT. Auction opens 04/20, anyone able/willing to take a look at them before the bidding opens up?
I hit UT a couple times a year, and would be buying your beverage of choice on my next trip out ;-)
Shoot me a PM if you can help. Tks....
I would like to buy a deuce, and I see that only one of the GL locations within driving distance of me has any available (Clearfield UT.) 19 vehicles set to open 04/20, and close 04/22. Not sure I am ready to pull the trigger on my purchase just yet, but I am worried that another set of these...
Awesome - tks 319. Found it for $15 and placed an order. Best news I've had all day!
On a side note, where do you folks get replacement parts for these military trailers? This one has a rubber bushing that goes around the axle that's begging to be replaced.
Westfolk: tks for the insight, any idea what the type could be (i.e. M1416m 1101, etc)? I can go do further research if you can point me in the right direction ;-). Sorry if it's a newbie question
319: I could be wrong, I got as close as I could with a tape measure. Not familiar with OTC?
I picked this up while in UT two weeks ago. Unfortunately no data plate on it anywhere. Can anyone identify what the frame is from?
I did a quick search on google and can't find anything with this 'axle' and p-brake setup.
Also, anyone know where I can get a 2.5" 8pt socket to disassemble...
