Have you regeared the truck? It has 3.08 gears, the 700 is a overdrive trans and could realy suck w/3.08 gears and 35" inch tires.

Look at rockauto p/n M60281 looks to be correct. I hope.

I have a friend who is going to watch me take the pump apart and clean it. We will just be rebuilding the old pump with new o-rings and such. The folks at AMBAC told me the head assy was a 4 month lead time and 850.00 if needed. Thanks for all the help!

Parts kit arrived yesterday from the nice lady at AMBAC, will be pulling the pump down for a rebuild shortly. Thanks for all the help

If I can do it you can. They just pop out and in w/small clip, just make sure the slots on door do not get bent. The inside strip clips onto door card. YOU CAN DO IT

The weather cooled off a little today, so I went to work on the 2A. Took the hex nut off the pump and pulled the DV out. I turned the engine over by hand and the plunger would move out but I would have too tap back in with hammer and drift. Seems like the spring is not strong enough to push it...

Blower cover I did not think of the fan nut. Was not sure it was strong enough to turn the engine over. Will give it a try. Sorry for all the FNG questions, always learning somthing new. Thanks

I have a spool of wire on the front of the MEP-002A trailier it looks like cable RG58 type. (see photo) What is this used for?

I got my filters from Rockauto.com but I did not like the oil filter. It was wraped with paper ( see pic) so I used a WIX oil filter and Fram gaskets.

I will check this hose, and also will have the pump check by a friend. But I am getting fuel up to the pump. Thanks for the hose info and all your help.
