$350 is a lot of money for something the rest of us paid $85-150 for. Look on ebay and save "Vanner equalizer" as the search criteria and wait a bit. You should have one shortly for around $100 or so. We are all using the "Bus" type, but some of ours are new, not used for that price.
I never stop, I don't stop in my F450 at GCVW of 35,000 and I don't stop in the HEMTT at 39,000 empty. I am NOT ever commercial, but I'm using my class A or B depending what I'm driving/towing. Calling them is useless, you call enough times and you'll lots of different answers and none of...
I have a different one but it works pretty well. Mine has a problem staying in "steam" mode for any length of time, I think I need to adjust the temperature switch.
Well, not Wednesday or Thursday, and it is open on those days too. You can bring your truck from the prior Sat., we will start driopping off our stuff that day, Sat. the 2nd. We will be sleeping over there on the field from Sunday the 3rd on.
Nice score, I've been looking for ones like that for my V, I'd rather have the low profile look with a simple gun ring until I find what I like. The stock V turret dosn't do it for me!
A SCHOOL bus frame, you want a real flexible flyer then? 60 - 100 lb kids weighing what 6,000 lbs, and quite many frames are heat treated so you won't be welding to them or you are risking lives. From an industry publication:
"Welding on a heat treated frame is catastrophic," Carver said...
Go with the autoset, I've been welding for over 30 years, 20+ on mig and I find I cannot set the welder manually better than the autoset can. On the Miller anyway, the welder's fan only comes on when needed and makes for a quiet work area.
BTW, I got mine new on ePay with free shipping and it...
Up to my GCVW of 34,500 I just tow and try not to abuse anything. When I exceed that, I'm mindful of the extra weight and stress on the truck and do my best to make everything as smooth as possible. In any case it is a rare occurance that I even use all the throttle and then on only smooth...
The '08 - '10 F450's have the big rear ends (Dana S110) and the Dana Super 60 front axle. The front axle turns so tight my F450 would turn tighter than my wifes former short bed F150 (we haven't checked with her new Raptor) and if I turn tight with the trailer the inside tires move BACKWARDS a...
My deck is only 29 or 30, including the 11' beavertail. I didn't really need longer and being in the PNW and having vehicles with a high wheel load, I went for an all steel deck. From the day I ordered it, it arrived 30 days later and I went with LOTS of custom stuff on it. Made in Oregon...
A bus frame is just too wimpy for your intended weight carrying capability. My little gooseneck has 21 lb/ft. wide flange I-beam plus torque tube.
I agree on the Dexter axles, I use 2 - 12,000 axles with electric/hydraulic disc brakes. My truck stops itself and ther trailer stops itself and...
Look Paul, it isn't about lubrication, GL-5 is a SUPERIOR lubricant to GL-1 due to better extreme pressure (EP) additives. The early GL-5 oils were a problem with "yellow metals" (brass and bronze used as bearing surfaces) and caused corrosion due to the addition of active sulferizing agents...
NEVER, and I mean NEVER, replace just one battery in a 24 volt system that has two batteries in series. They should be replaced in pairs and be the EXACT same battery, if possible they should even be from the same lot number! Not following this will result in the new battery being overcharged...
