There is a wealth of knowledge here :-D I hope you all enjoy your trucks as much as i do mine :driver:
I dont want to sound like an old fart, BUT..... When you get a duece, the first order of business should be removing the wheels, pulling the brake drums and checking the condition of the brakes, If the brake shoes are good, then you should adjust the brakes as per the TM with a feeler guage...
The one by the oil filters is for taking an oil sample.
Also i get the oil spray sometimes out of the air tanks to , but not all the time.
Good luck with the new beast!
I'm surprized EMR has'nt posted on this yet. He has a nice one for his deuce also. He had it mounted for the 2008 MTA show and swap meet,
Very nice unit!
I just wanted to add, that i have never called or used live chat, I just submit the paperwork and sit back and wait, I have never had to wait more than10 to 15 business days for any of the EUC.
Now, the SF-97 is another thing, after the first time and not knowing if it was recieved, I now send...
To answer your question, I think maybe 2 or 3 people work there
Ive bought alot of stuff from GL , but its been a pretty good experience so far. Im waiting for my EUC to clear battle creek as we speak for my genny, hopefully the pickup goes smooth:wink:
ussually its a tire air pressure issue, I had that problem with a duece, turned out there was only 10 psi in some of the rear tires. They looked good and they thumped like they are full , but the pressure gauge tells the tale.
Aired em up and the wheel vibration went away,
does'nt the a3...
the gasket that come's with the napa oil filter, works fine, you have to use the flat gasket under the cans, Ive used em on four deuce's without any leaks.
The best way to go is to buy Jatonka's spin on adapters and filters. I'm still saving for them myself.
I posted earlier in this thread that if the truck wont run without the intank pump working , That means the supply pump on the injection pump isnt working either!
I woudnt rely on just the intank pump to get me where i was going
I am watching this thread very closely. I have recently aquired a PU-794/g from GL. it is a modified mep-004, I also have plans to rewire for house hold use.
A close friend of mine is an electrical engineer, and he seems to think its very doable,
I f i come up with anything before i see it...
Yeah, I learned real quick to keep an extra flasher unit in each of my deuce's.
I have one flasher unit that works fine if the temp is above 25 degrees F, but below that it stops working .
