Pretty much all trucks (1/2-ton to class 8) until recent times have a 34" frame width. Some of the newer smaller trucks are different but 34" was the standard for a long time.
Way less than what they are selling for.
I won't be bidding unless they drop below $5K (for a good runner) or they remove the "off-road" restriction. I'd love to have one but "off-road only" really limits you.
On one hand I think surely the people in charge aren't naive enough to think that...
I assume you are sure you have power to the tank pump.
My deuce had a similar problem and it had a bunch of junk in the bottom of the tank plugging the pump screen.
I've found the red lenses to be kind of rare and the most sought after. You'd think red would be the most common but that doesn't seem the case.
I've got a pile of them and of all of them, only one has a red lense. It looks older than the others. I wonder if the older ones were red and they...
Yes.
Holy smokes!
That rates right up there with the $1,000 toilet seats. There is no way in the world that light would cost that much to build. I'd say that a company that's set up to make them, they'd cost $50 to make at the most.
I've got a bunch of these lights. I mounted one on the dash of the deuce but I don't like it. On the dash, it doesn't really shine the light where you need it. I may move it to the top bows but then I'll have some holes to fill on the dash.
I finally got around to watching the vid posted. That mirror setting may work ok in a small car with a rear view mirror but not so much in a big truck (such as I deuce or a 5-ton).
How are you going to back up safely if you can't see the sides of the truck. Backing a trailer would be even...
A good friend of mine bought a excavator from IP a year or so back. I don't remember all the details but it had some major electrical problems and the inspection report said all was good. He filed a claim and they just told him to take it to the nearest Deere dealer and they would take care of...
Most CDL drivers have the same problem as you. This is why you should never follow so close to any big truck that you can't see the mirrors of the truck you're following. As the sign on the back of some trailers say "If you can't see my mirrors, I can't see you".
Many years ago, my CDL tester...
All the Chevys from 1970s through the 1980s are hard to keep from rusting. If you find out a solution other than not driving it during the winter, I'd also like to know.
While I do pay for the house, the wife cleans the shower. She gripes enough just from the grime that comes off me, I don't think I could get by with a drill press.
I don't even think I could get past the threshold of the front door.
Be careful with the hardware store stuff. I had to make a emergency repair with some tubing from Lowes. By the time I got home the fuel had already turned the tubing soft. I don't think it's rated for petroleum products. Make sure the tubing is DOT rated.
Just go to NAPA or your other favorite...
For the most part, the fiberglass is better. Lighter, hold up better in the weather, and probably a little stronger.
If your trailer sides aren't exposed to the elements, wood should work just as well.
I'm not sure what the original wood is but red or white oak would be a good substitute. Even...
I've got a 2,000 sq ft house 200amp service, gas heat, gas hot water, gas dryer. Everything else is electric.
Just for fun, I hooked up the MEP-003a, turned every light in the house on, and turned on the range. The fridge and the deep freeze were also running. The MEP handled it fine. I don't...
If you can get it out and want to repair the pin, grind off what is left of the bolt, drill and tap a hole in the center of the pin, and thread in a piece of all-thread. It wouldn't hurt to use lock-tight on the threads.
I've repaired several pins this way.
The towbar I use, I fabricated the whole thing. I actually built two, one I still have and the other I sold to a guy just to move trucks around his yard. I did some pretty extensive testing and was thinking of making them and selling them but at the end of the day, I didn't want the liability...
