I assume than that the 5 ton doesn't have an inter-axle differential . . . if it does, then you're sunk unless you lock it. BTW, as noted before, you must lift the rear axle or your turning radius will be worse.
Dunno, I'll look, I might have some. Probably better to go with some nice civy ones and paint 'em green. That's what I'm going to do to get better visibility.
I burned down another one but I found the cause. I have a three lever one in there for until I decide to do a proper fix. The back EMF from the relays was toasting the IC's. I have since gotten some relays with diodes to short the back EMF. Back EMF from a relay can go in excess of 100V...
I totally agree Matt, the winch is the only part of the crane that is actually smooth and sensitive. Except when using the remote box where it sometimes goes into run-away like you saw at Arlington. Never had a problem with the mechanical valves, just the servo operated ones. I think a chain...
Dan and I will need to speak before the date so we can set the vehicles in the best spot for the operation. I'm still trying to feed enough grease into my turntable to get it to move smoothly, it's getting better but it sometimes jumps a bit. I ususlly try not to slew the crane with it loaded...
I'm pretty sure if you do a search on the internet you can get a new one made without too much trouble. You'd probably need to send your old one in, so they could make sure the ends are correct.
Or get a battery equalizer that gives plenty of 12V from a 24V system. That's what I'll be using on the HEMTT for all my 12V systems. They run about 97% efficient and only take 3 connections. You can either use the output to power your 12v loads directly OR you can tap the ground side battery...
My vehicle takes 8, BUT . . . if I change them out and one or two go bad I'm out looking for them again. So I'd consider either one or two sets, depends on price. Shipping is shipping, it doesn't enter the equation. Packing costs, matter a little bit. BTW, I'm not looking to pick a whole bunch...
Story of my life! The good part is, none of mine are leaking, so you can only grab me by my dangily bits so hard. rofl
I'd guess, packing and shipping might cost a few bucks too. Soooo how much you want for 8 or 16 of the best of 'em?
I just bought a waterpump today on eBay that I don't...
$52.20 each in a large quantity doesn't appear to be ripping us off at all. I just find it hard to believe that if they were used, they'd put them back into bags.
