I am pretty sure it is a M211 because it has rear duals on it. I might be making a trip up there on tuesday for some other parts.
I WILL NOT get pics just because of the previous post, but if anyone is interested I could let you know if something is there or not.
I saw the truck today.
It has a gasoline engine with an automatic transmission
It is the year before the M35 truck. The driveshafts are missing.
the headlight switch is missing as is most of the other controls.
the doors, fenders, and hood are there.
the box is gone.
the generator is...
the newer engines had more power from the factory but you can get a lot of power from the 12V.
If you go with the newer engine like a 2005 what transmission did it come with? IF you had a manual transmission you might want to keep it together. depending on the year it would be a 6 speed with...
You might want to drop the front drive shaft and the drive shaft between the duels. You won't be going off road so you don't need the extra traction and you can take some stress off the drive line. Might pick up a little MPG as well, but i wouldn't be too hopeful on that.
that is because of the extremely low gear ratio of the automatic.
i was looking at swapping a 900 series in my 800 series and from what i found it wouldn't be easy.
oh a general warning.
if you get a truck from GL it might not have an air filter in it.
just because it doesn't show a restriction on the gauge doesn't mean it is good to go.
gimp
if you could get some pics of the side view as they bolt on the bumper on the inside of the frame rail and in reference to the front bumper.
I have a directly front view and that doesn't help as much.
also if you can take a picture of where the bolts go on the frame.
thanks
I got the following dimensions from them:
DIA: 12 in
HOLE: DIA 7-7/8 IN
L: 16-1/4 in end to end
including the lip gasket on one end!
Close apppoxes with ruler!
i measured my old filter and got
my measurements
hole 7 - 5/8
dia 12
length 15 - 1/2
so i don't know if it will fit or not.
I am trying to add a set of wrecker spade sockets on the front of my 818.
I have 2 sockets with 2 bolts each. I am trying to find out exactly where they are bolted on.
i ready through the TM and can't find any info.
Let me know if you have any pictures or can point me to the correct tm...
I found this on ebay.
