That is true of any MV out there. You might buy a duece for 1300 from GL does it run? what about fluid change, batteries, any drive line problems. So what is any duece worth? Clark trucks wants 10K for a truck if i recall correctly.

you might have a wheel cylinder that is leaking. This would account for the lack of fluid.

what tires and wheels do you have on that 105? the bottom line is you have to look at weight. The 105 frame is much stronger (heavier) than what a Jeep can pull let alone stop. If you already have the 105 I can see why you wouold want to use it. A 101 would be much lighter and more jeep...

You would need a tag light but you could drive it at night. If you are looking to use your truck only for events. (which is the purpose of the antique tag) Wy would you need to get a different tag? The problem becomes when you use it to make money ie commercial purposes.

It sounds like you have a sprag transfer case. You can search that. basically you won't get 6x6 until the back wheels slip if the case is working. You might want to swap it out for an air shift transfer case.

Can you take the jake brakes off of a 400 and put them on a 250?

if you run a 900 series truck in low range and the transmission is in reverse you can snap the transfer case right off if you shock it. Ie hit the gas pedal quickly with a loaded truck. It makes a big mess.

It seems like in general materials from GL are in better condition then the GSA materials. This is just based on average. It is not true in all situations.
