So I went to the Kragen, now Orieleys,
parts place to buy some cotter pins for the steering linkage. The guy at the parts counter doesn't have a clue what I am asking for, and can't even look it up. There software only lists major parts and doesn't even pull up a picture. And yes, I gave him the...
Hey Kenny, Do you have the 4 holes there and no data plate on the top right hand corner of your control panel?
If you have the data plate, can you post a pic?
Thanks,
Bruce
What is the data plate that goes in the top right hand corner of the top horizontal section of the
operators panel on a M108. This is the one above the operational data plate and is only about a third of the size of that one. There are 4 holes for the data plate, but the manual does not show a...
Just found out what my M390C trailer was designed for.
I had always supposed that it was for a search light. I have a nice radio teletype shelter mounted on it. So now I have a level camper with a built in ladder and a front porch, and a new heater that was speced for this shelter.

I realize that it is a hard decision for you sarge, I mean, after all the other two have better trucks and all, but I really think you would be much better off with Julie.
Besides, if you don't marry her, you will most likely be run over by the gazillion of unmarried guys from SS
trying to...
My M1008 is my daily driver. My M54A2 was used for several years so that my friend Tim could trailer his M16 half track to the two yearly mv meets in northern CA.
ie Tower Park
I'll also be using it to move to Eureka,NV and build a home. Along with my XM211/M108 crane truck.

I took a piece of alumium about 1/8" thick. Cut a strip of it
so that the width was the length of the exposed stop shaft.
Bent it in a u shape so that it would slip over the exposed shaft
and keep the button from being pushed in.
drilled a hole thru the ends of the aluminum to fit a tiny...

Not sure what I will need until I bring the crane on line.
The boom lift cylinder has some bad scratches and pitting in one place near the bottom so I am not sure how this is going to go. I may have to replace it if I can't polish it up.
Bruce
I wasn't sure where to post it since there wasn't an M108 specific forum, so please feel free to move it to the deuce section.
I understand what you are saying Bruce, but still need some leads to where to buy parts.
Thanks everyone!
Bruce
Who can I buy M108 parts from that wont cost me an arm and a leg? Who do you prefer buying parts from?
Right now I need some simple things like seals, but I am not sure what problems I am going to run into.
I have replaced most of the hoses and modified the connectors so they will work.
Thanks...
