I am trying to find a source for the bushing on the bottom Driver side of the tailgate and none of the parts places seem to carry it or find it for that matter.
Any leads would be appreciated.
Bruce
Not sure if it is front or rear though. It is intermitant and usually at low speed under 5mph.
Does this sound like a brake bleeding or wheel cylinders. How do I test?
Thanks for any help,
Bruce M1008
I am down to my last filter, and was wondering
if anyone knew of a source for these two part air filters. There don't appear to be any aftermarket ones with the prefilter band.

The axles have a unique way of attachement. When attempting to pull the axle shafts you will need to loosen the nuts and then take a sledgehammer and whack the end of the shaft that has the heavy piece of steel with the hole in it for tie down. You need to read the manual for details, but it is...
If you have a cargo cover installed on your M1008
could you please take a look at the metal stip with the turnbuttons on it that attaches to the top outboard side of the tailgate.
The metal strip is aprox 1 1/2 " wide and as long as the tailgate. However it is bent slightly in the middle along...
Here is all the info I could find:
M54A2 W/W
Hood No.: 05B49368
VIN:952515395
Location:Sparta, Wisconsin DRMO at Fort McCoy
NSN: 2320000559265 From TM 9-2320-211-10-HR
Thanks for any help, and I will send a small donation in.
I would like it to be big, but I just retired, and I am sure you...
If this settup will be going on public roads, you will have a problem. Evidently years ago, some idiot overloaded up a shelter, then took it on the freeway and went way over 50mph with predictable results. Now CA DMV will not license the mobilizers.
A possible solution might be to weld a frame...
Ok, I am assuming I have the heavy duty ones.
Does this mean that you are supposed to dissasemble them to grease them, Or do you just wait until they fail and then replace.
I am not sure yet if they are loose, but I think so.
Time to crawl under and shake some things.:-o

Does anyone know if there were different revs of U-joints for the M1008? The one I have doesn't appear to have any way to grease it, and I am afraid it is on its last legs. I would like to replace it with one that is greasable. Can anyone give me a part number or source for one.
Thanks,
Bruce
I did mine 3 or 4 years ago. You need to get all the little pieces and the different types of special tape. I did the vent window as well. It is not too bad but it takes a little patience and attention to detail. There is also a little tool for the window crank you need to get. Just a little...
Loading a sheltor or similar
I was thinking about the problem and I came up with a crazy idea. What if you got two stacks of innertubes which when inflated were the same height as the bed. If you placed them under the shelter inset from the front and another set at the rear. inflate them and...
Nato cable adapter
What about taking a NATO cable plug and ataching
a simple heavy duty terminal strip to it through
a short cable. The strip would have 4 posts on it
marked + - + - for the AAA guy with 2 12 volt battery packs to attach his leads to. Obviously the
posts would be wired so that...
