Hi Marti,
These are the two steped washers that are used with the two cap screws to keep the distributor from turning in it's hole. Some nice person is sending me some.
Hi All,
Does anyone have some distributor tie down clamps that hold the distributor in place?
I need two of these to install a M211 distributor in the place of an old civi distributor which
does not have these clamps.
Thanks for any leads.
Thanks Jason,
I realize you don't need a 24 volt coil, but I was trying to keep things simple and avoid mounting resistors, etc.
The strange thin g about this coil is that it not only has that flat contact area in the bottom of the hole, but it
has two tabs that stick out with holes in...
Hi All,
I just bought a 24 volt military coil from Boyce, but the connection at the top is new to me.
Physically it is the same sort of format, but instead of having a metal lining to the inside of the
hole, it is just the plastic side of the hole. There is a metal bottom to the hole as...
Thanks, I did make the two I needed out of some new exaust pipe, but I would like to have
some good original ones in my kit for the next time. I am not sure how long these will hold up.
Maybe forever, but then they are pretty cheap metal and I noticed on the one that I have that it is made out...
Does anyone know where ai can get the guts to my crankase ventilation valve?
Opened up today and there is nothing inside, so I am missing a tapered valve, spring
and spring retainer?
Thanks for any leads or suggestions.
Thanks!
I got it figurede out now. The previous owner had re routed stuff when the converted it to a manual transmission. One hose goes to the engine block and the other to the water pump/thermostat assembly.
Hi All,
I am trying to figure out where to hook up the hoses that are used to cool the compressor.
The previous owner had modified the settup considerably and I am trying to get things back to as normal as possible.
So it would be nice if someone could describe the path for the two hoses...
Hi Randy,
They are plenty cheap enough. i believe I paid $20 from Owens Export.
Yes they are only used for the STE/ICE test gear.
I am not quite sure where the device leaks at, as I don't have mine apart right now.
I figured that plugging up the cavity with a new switch and O ring would make...
Ok guys and gals,
Can someone Please tell me if there are any Military Museums that
you know of in California,
the closer to the Bay Area the better. My friend Tim has an award
winning Half Track that he would like to
loan to a museum for a while so that other folks can enjoy the work...
Hi All,
I need to move a parts truck from Lafayette CO to Colorado Springs CO.
It needs a flat bed. Front wheels and midships wheels are operational but the rear
axle has been chained up. It rolls, but will need a winch to haul it on board and release it
at the other end.
Any help with this is...
I need to put oil in the Xm211 and the manual transmission that was put in to replace
the old automatic one. What type of oil should I use for both the engine and the transmission.
I figure that since the engine is old it way need a different spec than what was originally
called out.
Thanks...
Bassed on pictures I found on the web, it is not the Muncie 420.
The one characteristic that stands out is that on both sides there are pockets with
threaded bolt holes on either side of the pocket. If you were a giant, you could use the two pockets for hand holds when you removed the...
I believe that the distributor and coil that are in there now is a 12 volt system. It
is not the original distributor and wires.
The coil says delco remy, but I haven't found any more identification on it yet.
Hi All,
I am trying to id a transmission that was put on the GMC302 engine in my
XM211. This is a frankenstine settup to accomodate a M108 wrecker body.
I will try to attach photos to this post. The photos are being made with a $7.00
camera, so wish me luck.
Hi All,
I need the Napa part number or the equivalent for a thermostat.
The manusl calls out the following part numbers.
DLU-VD-10457 YT-2194330 FSN 6685-741-1616
160 F -175 F
