If there was a location to store them- near the base at Barstow, I could probably spend a day moving everyones cab there, and then we could take our time looking into moving them east (or where ever).
100dollarman- do you know of a safe place we could put these cabs? I'm thinking your place is...
First and easiest would be to check the two inline fuses- under the dash near the steering column.
But since it was working and now seems to be screwed up- it's probably your ECU.
Also, you can burn up the ECU by doing an improper shutdown- so be sure you follow the TM EXACTLY for the...
Glad to hear the truck ran good and you made it home. Can't predict those tire issues- I hope you checked the pressure on the fronts- they can look full and fool you. Normally they are the last thing to fail, but only if the pressure is kept up.
Most of those trucks at Nellis are from Utah...
I've used Jatonkas covers and they are great.
Here's an idea- I took some seats to a local shop that does canvas and had them do some custom work- widened and used better foam on the bottom and made the back a little taller. Then covered with good heavy duty canvas. Turned out super nice. Cost...

Follow up 9/11/2012
You might find this interesting. I travel from north Utah to Nevada several times each year. The mangled remains of this A3 were parked in a wrecker yard, right off I-15. In plain sight. I stopped by several times to see how much it would take to buy the truck. You know...
Here's the oxygen tank that came on my 936. Marked US Govt. (Can I ever get it filled?)
And a top view- looks like the missing tank is a larger diameter.
Have Truck/Will Travel
If you would like to add your truck to our Parade Convoy on Nov 10, 2012, send me a PM. I have application and details. No cost. Pre Registration required.
Here's the flyer. Honoring Vets that served 1975 to 2001. Trucks of that era especially invited.
So far we have...
I read here on SS that there was a USMC version of the 915A1--- that had a 7 speed Allison. Nope. After searching around, I think it was an M916. Oh well...
