Would the M1008 side tanks fit on a M1009? I could need more fuel capacity to take advantage of the local price difference on diesel.

That's how I had planned to keep both alternators in my M1009. Dual pulley on the compressor and separate belt to alternator. Did you fab the brackets and tension adjustment bars from scratch?

FluFarm remembered correctly. Rear pump is 26gpm@2450psi and the tool circuit is fed by the front pump, which delivers 8gpm@2450psi (from TM 5-2420-224-20-1 UNIT MAINTENANCE MANUAL)

Also WTS: M1009 transmission (TH400) and transfer case (NP208 ). Both original, ~80k miles, no issues, oil looked and smelled great. Changed my truck to 700R4/NP241. Tranny $300 OBO, T-case $200 OBO.

I will take the hoses off at both ends tomorrow and report my findings. The slow tilt is really annoying.

The manual does not show any orifice in that circuit. The noise you hear is from the over-pressure relief in the valve. I think the restriction are the hoses between valve and tilt cylinder, which are considerably smaller than all other hydraulic hoses on the FLU419.

Sometimes, slight bleeding stops after using the cylinders for a while. If it gets worse you have to change the seals. Get the part number of the seal kit from the TM and then either buy original from a Case dealer or chose one of the aftermarket options. The hard part in preparation for...

That reminds me of the only rust spots I have on my M1009, two small areas in the cab floor. Everybody, please let me know if you are going to part with a cab where these pieces could be salvaged from. They are small but curved and I rather not have to hammer flat sheet metal into shape.
