Found this in my journey to replace all the fuel lines and hoses. https://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=94/category_id=-1/mode=prod/prd94.htm
For 20 bucks. This one fits perfectly. Same size all the way around. Just wanted to let people know
I’m looking to see if anyone knows the length, OD of tube and fitting size for the fuel pickup tube. Out of state visiting a friend who can make me one but I’m not sure what the size of everything is.
I think I’m loosing prime. If I prime the motor at the lifting pump the truck fires right up. I tried cracking the bleed screw past the lifters and I get air then fuel, But If I let the truck sit a few hours then it goes back to not starting. So I’m thinking it’s sucking air and bleeding down. I...
I’m going to see if I can find a cracked hose or fuel leaking. I’ll try to pressurize the tank this weekend and try checking for leaks. Any other suggestions?
Haven’t had a chance to work on the truck till this afternoon. At the bleeder screw I’m not getting any fuel I see a few air bubbles when I crack it open and crank over the motor. Im thinking Maybe fuel line might be sucking air
Seems to turn over maybe slightly slower. It was around mid 40’s I even plugged in the block warmer just for the hell of it to see if that makes a difference. Just cranks. Will check more stuff later.
I’m having issues starting my 1991 m923a2. The truck ran fine about 3 weeks ago. The truck will crank but won’t start. I have a digital voltmeter in the truck. I have 24.4 ish volts before cranking. I notice though that when I flip the starter switch the voltage drops to around 17.4 to 17.6. I...
Hope this is the correct place to put this. Been driving the hell out of this truck and it seems that the steering assist cylinder is starting to leak. It’s not bad, but I want to head it off before it is. My question is, I have seen rebuild kits and I have found ones for sale that are already...
New locking gas cap, door handles installed and I put the troop seats In. Love the look and functionally of it now. I also have a keyed ignition but didn’t have time to install that yet.
Oh yeah no I have been all up under it and checked every grease fitting and did an inventory of parts that have been changed. Checked filters and hoses. No leaks and anything that looks not right has been addressed. Having a farm and working on equipment I know preventative maintenance is the...
Thanks for the replies. Bearings and the lube order has been done. Alternator with belt was also just changed by the previous owner along with air, oil and all the fuel filters. So far I love the truck. Love the fact that it’s simplistic to work on in a lot of ways and seems to be built like a...
