What exactly are you looking for? A military antenna or a civilian CB antenna? CB is AM band, so it may not be right for what you want. I generally run a Radio Shack 102" stainless whip on my CBs and converted 10 meter radios. It's the best thing for a CB, but again, may not be the best for FM...
We used to do the rubber idea for mud and snow both but it won't last long if you drive it on the highway. We made a rig for one guy with a GM truck that had chain hooks on it that hooked onto the front crossmember and then hooked on the back corners to the frame rails right at the firewall...
A Bv202 only weighs about 6400 lbs but that still hangs a lot of wieght off the back, increasing the leverage. I don't know that I would enjoy driving that rig around for any great distance, lol.
Definitely an aftermarket rim with the M715 center welded in. They seem to be a bit wider than the stock rims, definitely lack the lock ring and the back spacing may be different also. This is not to say that they are bad. If done correctly they could be very nice to have. Gimp, I wonder if...
ATC, I would probably have to recommend a normal pickup for your tow rig. I think a Deuce, while very cool, is going to be a bigger pain in the butt than it's worth. If you want a Deuce and are willing to deal with all the quirks and then tow with it, fine. If you are looking for a Deuce...
No problem. I only point it out because it's not one of the normal vehicle laws that seems to take the fun out of life, it's actually very unsafe. I've seen worse though, lol. A local idiot ( and I do mean idiot as in village idiot) put is front axle back in with all thread rod instead of...
Anything is possible. I know there was someone wanting a Deuce seat over at The M715 Zone but I think that was the passenger side bench. As a former owner, I can vouch that the M715 does ride a bit rough, lol. It is truly a 1 1/4 ton truck that can haul that and more unlike the lighter Dodge...
Dielectric grease is great stuff. Squirt some in a connector or socket and never worry about it again. I've scrapped vehicles that I leaned the sockets and filled them with grease years before and they were all still clean and working perfectly. I don't like using WD-40 as it can damage a lot...
Not to discourage you but good luck selling the OHC 230. There are a lot of them that are given away or scrapped as they aren't worth the cost of shipping to most. The amount of M715s that have been converted to various other engines for assorted uses has pretty much flooded the market with...
Mike, I will take on this tedious duty. Set me up with the power and send all the new applicants to me. I will require their resumé with references and a 750 word essay on why they want to be a SteelSoldiers member. Naturally bribes will not be accepted unless they are of considerable...
Beautiful sounds coming out of that 360! Makes me miss my 383 in my '74 W100, lol. Alas the little 318 in my Ramcharger will never get loud exhaust. I've always wanted to build or restore an old WM300.
No doubt the NP435 is beefy. I would also consider it to be quite a bit stronger than the NV4500. I have seen many broken and destroyed NV4500s but only one broken NP435. I'd still like to have a 4500 for the OD gear though, lol.
On the subject of he pilot bearing, be aware that your...
Looks like you are good to go. That has the older oval bolt pattern for the NP203 where the NP205, 208, and 241 use a 6 bolt pattern that is perfectly round. I don't have anything to verify the part number but that is a mopar number and it does look like a '78 model 4 speed. Check it over...
If it were me, I'd mount them all in the same direction on the rim. This does mean the tires would go in opposite directions on either side but it would also mean that you could easily put the spare on wherever without having to dismount a tire at some point to point them all back the same way...
I also preferred the Pantera, but I would take a vid like this with no sound other than the engine too, lol. Very nice work and awesome to see the LAV300 in action. Thanks for posting!
Hard to say from that description. Early versions of the M3 Stuart had riveted panels. Several early WWII British and American tanks had riveted construction but the styling varied wildly.
