Way to go. That's a fine looking truck- wish I could have picked one up when I was twenty (they were still in active service back then- but I could have found a CCKW or...)
Take good care of her- she needs your attention, and doesn't want you looking at more trucks.

Lonegunman- I really recommend you stop in Rapid City and get hold of maccus. He could take the A3 out for a drive to meet you- it probably needs some air in the tires by now!
Good luck on the drive, and I'll bet she runs better after a couple hundred miles. Let us know all the details- and take a few minutes to snap photos. I always seem to forget...
The M35A3 is an interesting beast for sure. It did start to grow on me- after a couple hundred miles! If I could only have one MV- I would pick the M35A2. But since that doesn't apply, this A3 has a place in my collection.
I think Gene even found it to be an ok driver. And we got 10.94 mpg over...
The CTIS on the A3 maccus and I picked up last week seems to be working ok. It kept the tires aired up for the 700 mile trip from Ft McCoy to Custer, SD. It was good entertainment while driving- the unit would build up extra pressure in the air tank, balance out the tires to 45 lbs and then blow...

A couple of the guys are good...
The best men are those who stand up, keep their word and finsh the job. You guys are the best and better!
When GL approved my first EUC- 75 days after the auction- I was really happy. I could make an easy run up to South Dakota and get my first deuce from Uncle Sam. But later that day I got a...
24v headlights are easy to get from any of the usual vendors- $25 to $35. I just picked up a deuce that is missing both lights.
You will need the trim rings- mine were still on the truck.
Glad to see you made it out to Utah pick up your truck- and the trip went well. I was on I-80 East about the same time- on the way to pick up a truck at Ellsworth- the same one we talked about a few months ago!
I just had all my EUC's clear on Tuesday ( 3/18 ). Never heard one word from Battle Creek. The oldest one was at BC for over 2.5 months.
