Diesel engine from MEP-006A in a deuce??

I don't think the motors are limited to 1800 RPM's, that is just the optimum setting to run continuously in a generator. So spool up the RPM's for speed. I think running the muti-fuel engine at 1800 rpm would be perfect and the dang thing would go forever... is that a realistic thought?

New motor oil- burn in deuce

hammer- that is a good plan. Thanks. I just dumped the oil in the deuce, and put in the most recent oil of this batch (30w). I'll see what it looks like in a few hundred miles. Would be nice to have a real clean motor -- at least for peace of mind if nothing else. BTW, I just sent in an oil...

    Deuce registry

One of my first posts here at SS (only a couple months ago) was to ask where to find/ or if there was a registry. Nothing came of that-- so I understand your pain...

    Deuce registry

Some thoughts about 'registries' before you invest a lot of effort. You have to ask 'why'? (My thoughts wander- so excuse the 'unspoken' :-P ) The idea of a registry is to locate and track the whereabouts of (in this context) a vehicle. A good idea. This is based on the existence of factory...

    Utah Convoy May 2010

Hi Adam- we'll look forward to meeting you. We'll have some planning meetings before this convoy in May, we'll post anything here on SS. This should be a fun trip- and plenty of places to off-road! The rail bed we will be traveling on is 'off road', too. We are not a club (as mentioned on the...

Welcome- congratulations, very cool to see a first post reflect a first MV! Esp. a 5 ton... Sure hope you can post several pictures. Did GL allow you to check your truck after the bidding ended? Jut curious, I have been told NO WAY to check it after the sale closes- GL company policy. ---

    Euc 5039

I spoke to a GL rep on the phone yesterday to check 5039 EUC status. (My account also shows 'EUC submission pending'.) They verified my EUC and ID had been rec'd, and is ok. I would suggest you call. They seemed to be able to pull up my account quickly and identify issues. I also asked about...

Sale 4991- EUCs stuck at GL?

You should call GL, mine says EUC pending and I just now found out they didn't get my EUC and ID. It's been 13 days (event 5007) and they said I may loose the truck! Another one says EUC pending (5039) and they DO have my docs.... Good luck ---
