Would a disconnect between the 24v buss bar and the cable to the starter do the trick? Sure, the starter solenoid would still be engaged via the stuck starter relay, but the starter would not be running away anymore, yes?

There was a post a few months ago from a member who put a new 24v gauge there, and it looked pretty good. Using a *real* 24v gauge gets rid of that resistor on the back.

I only see the ACC position shown in the picture of the key positions, but no mention in the text that I could find other than "won't work with ignition off".

You might try pulling the glow plug controller card and cleaning the contacts on the board and the connector in the housing.

Replace the gauge.

DH has mentioned before that he has put vise grips on the bad plug, and had someone start the truck to blow it out. Holding it with the vise grips *should* keep it from becoming a projectile. I have never tried this, so cannot say any more than that.

It sounds like your glow plug relay is cycling. Follow the glow plug system test procedure in the TMs. My guess would be either a bad controller card, or more likely, a bad glow plug temp sensor.

Don't assume the glow plugs are working just because they are new. There is a nice glow plug system test procedure in the TM's. It's possible they are are not cycling the way they are supposed to. Possible causes could be the glow plug controller card, the glow plug relay, the big resistor on...

Mine has the seat belt buzzer, but the wire to the seat belt is disconnected, so I don't know if it works, beyond the light coming on and going off.

That might be the glow plug relay cycling.
