    Run flats, what are they

Whoa, that might be worth the gas for the trip! THANK YOU!

    Run flats, what are they

I wish like hell I had the cash to buy them from you. I'd love to have them, unfortunately the rims and shipping make it a bit unaffordable at the moment. I'm dying to get a set of HMMWV rims for my Ramcharger, and while I would rather have the 12 bolt rims, I'd take 8 bolts if they were cheap...

    M211 Transfercase Swap

Doesn't the M211 transfer case rotate the front driveshaft backwards? Does the previous vehicle also have that odd feature?

    My first M715

Nice looking truck. Two gas tanks I assume? Interesting using the west coast style mirrors. I have never seen that done on an M715. Consider swapping out the tail lamps for the newer style, they are much more visible and safer.

    Electric winch

On the electric bit, over at Ramcharger Central we are having a discussion with a soldier in Iraq about the 24V Warn 18k lbs winches that were for the MRAP vehicles. Apparently they are having trouble with them breaking and ripping off the trucks. In the words of the soldier, "wrong...

    M880 for $500.00

They are probabaly worth $500 in scrap price alone.

    Electric winch

I would have to say that the stock winch on a Deuce is very conservatively rated at 10k. An electric winch that would be comparable would be just as large as the Garwood plus the electric motor. I would think that even with 24V it wouldn't take long to drain the batteries. Most modern offroad...

    who really pushes there CUCV's?

It's important to note the huge difference in the CUCVs. What a 1 ton M1008 puts up with would probabaly destroy a 1/2 ton M1009 in short order.

    1965 W300 Crew Cab.

RE: W500 There is one of those vans here in town but it's rough. Has Air Force markings on it here and there. No winch or cool stuff though, just a very run down truck. It was offered up to me since I guess I am the local Dodge truck guy but it was a bit too much of a project for me.

    1965 W300 Crew Cab.

I believe I would have to take a closer look at that one. There is something about it that just isn't right and I can't quite put my finger on it. Looks like the frame was modified at some point too. Interesting truck, but it's not worth anywhere near $4k.

    Rolling legit via ITS corp

RE: Re: RE: Rolling legit via ITS corp The SF-97 is your certificate to obtain a title, proof that your vehicle was released by the US Government, purchased legally and not stolen.

Across the country in an M1009

Wow, I just normally sleep in the back seat of my Ramchargers, lol. I guess being under 6' is an advantage in that case, lol.

    Rolling legit via ITS corp

You titled a vehicle without your SF-97? You do know that is technically illegal don't you?

    Beachwood Canvas----First Class Goods!

RE: Re: beachwood canvas My vinyl top for my M715 was from Beechwood and I have nothing but good things to say about it and Beechwood but that was my only experience with them. I would ask that people please try to use punctuation and at least something resembling proper grammar in their...

    wiper motors, M38 and M715

I seem to remember that they are the same. I don't know from any personal comparison, but I do remember this being said over at The M715 Zone. Ask over there, someone probably has tried swapping them at some point. Also, if you are not overly concerned with originality, many M715 owners have...

Demil equipment to cities, non-profits ?

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but most of the armor and weapons that are displayed are on loan and not actually owned by the property owner but still belong to the US Government.

    painting my deuce

It really depends on what color you have in mind. There are many shades of OD green that have been used through the years and it's up to you which you choose. Take a look through the picture galleries or search the net for MV pics and post up or link a pic of the color you are interested in...

ok i know i may be slighty insane but....

In my opinion that's just a bad platform to begin with. Most pulling trucks I have seen are long wheelbase and have at least 1 ton axles. The M1009 has very weak axles for a truck and the engine isn't known for raw power or durability. If it were me, I'd be looking for something like a 1989...
