    Suspect M135 vacume advance problem

I agree with NDT. There is no way the distributor case should hit the side of the engine block when setting the timing. I don't know this distributor, but if it has a gear drive at the end of the shaft, it could be off by several gear teeth. If there is a tang on the end, it could be 180...

    Jet Truck at Miramar

Nothing like a little JATO to help you get up those pesky mountain grades. This setup is a little rough on the trailer you're towing, however. Also tends to start brush fires.

    time out

Warthog is correct. I just found this out the other day when I was using a shared computer at work and did not check the "Remember Me" button.

I believe I know that truck from its previous owner and it is indeed a sweet truck. Be sure to let us know if your friend ever decides to sell it.

    Dumb 813 fuel question

Filling the cannister is not recommended because of the possbility of getting dirt into your expensive IP. Just be prepared to pump the prime handle about 156 times.

    Fall Camp Dirtbag

At this point, I'll be bringing my beach chair and hoping for some sun. We are in the foothills and have been socked in with rain, drizzle and fog for a week. The two hour drive to work this morning was NO FUN!:mad::mad::mad:

    Fall Camp Dirtbag

Get a kid to listen for the leak. They usually have great hearing for the first 15 years or so.

    Lugs OVERTIGHTENED

Don't use any fittings between the shop air compressor and the big impact gun. Screw the air hose right into the wrench and at the compressor, if you can. Hopefully, the threads will match. With no fittings, you get a bit more air flow and it might be enough to make a difference. You'll...

Condition Code HX on a Mule

    Dog food? I hope not.

Finally, I get to bring mine home!

You might want to see if you can round up a spare tire, just in case.

    Is it too heavy?

Getting from 50 to zero mph will take a while as well. Be careful out there.

    M135 just not running right.....

I agree with Barrman. We had a problem just like this when we did a tune up on a M37. The truck ran great for about 5 minutes, then started missing and died. The coil felt red hot. I suspect the coil was foreign made and might have actually been for a 12 Volt system.

    Fall Camp Dirtbag

I have a PRC-25 set up in the M1009, but I can move it into the M35A2. I haven't tried transmitting on it in a few years. My grandkids liked listening to the audio of TV channels two and four, but you can't do that anymore since TV went digital. Can also install CB or bring FM handi-talkies.

    Fall Camp Dirtbag

Comms? Just a quick question...is there any official type of radio communications that has been selected? It seems the choices are military PRC 77, 25 or RT 524 etc., CB, or FM handi-talkies. Is there cell phone coverage in the area? This might be helpful to anyone arriving late, especially...

Love that last photo. When is the last time anyone drove down that "road"?

    Rear receiver mount question

I switched to military pintle hook to one of those combination pintle hooks that incorporates a 2-inch ball. You loose the swivel feature doing this, but the M416 trailer I have has its own swivel. I used all grade-8 hardware when mounting the hitch. I haul a small car trailer with my Mule or...

    Friends from 50´s

Photo #5 is a great shot. Nice framing of the M34 by the M38 and machine gun. Thanks for posting these pictures.
