Well since removing the turret , we being slowly removing interior panels and amo storage cleaning up a little to get to the drive shafts to see if we can pull the power packs, even do it was light rain we made some pogress..:cookoo:
Great news i didn't think was anything engine reladed cause it sound it good at idle and the was no adnormal smoke out of the filler neck when we look at it..:beer:
Well i did my manual a4L80E over a year ago and 5000miles runs good and shift very firm much better than the 3l80 ever did ,and yes it uses a vacuum pump for increasing shift press, i'm not affraid and pull my M103A2 trailer several times, but like the previus thread put in in D hit the gas yes...
Yes is very small inside ,i had to remove what was left of the crew sits to be able to move around to cut the turret clamp bolts plus to remove all the bearing.adjusters yes the crew most have being under 5.9 i would think

I have a manual 4l80E in my HMMWV and yes you have to shift up and down as needed and lock the converter on a switch i mainly only use the OD over 45MHP snd the lock up over 55MPH , the kit i use was trans-g0, using stock valve body however TCI or GM performance {both the same} make a stand...
Its a flare type thread so use a wrench will come apart, fluied usually does not come out at least on my it did not when i change the belts have fun:-P
