    most important military aircraft ?

I guess you could take "important" a lot of different ways. I like WWII aircraft but to me, everytime I think of military aircraft I think of the F-14 Tomcat. Carrier-based, able to do just about anything you could ask a jet to do and it definately put dogfighting back on the map in the modern...

    towing with a wrecker

Just as a side note, Eric (aka Miltrucks) had a 5 ton wrecker that at some point had been modified with a sling and other mods to the rear plate. Maybe if he pops in here he'll still have some pics of it somewhere.

    More Photo's from ENGLAND

Eh, I'd put them all in "Member's Rides" since that is where we would commonly go to look at each other's trucks. I think actual ownership isn't a strict rule since there have been other vehicle sightings posted in the past. I will give this one piece of advice: You can add more posts to each...

What are your laws on Military vehicles?

As they say here in the US, "When they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns."

What are your laws on Military vehicles?

Just as a side note, a lot if not most states in the US do require yearly state inspections for safety. Virginia is one of them and the Dodge Dealership I work at is a VA State Inspector. Just the usual items, safety equipment, tires, brakes, lights, etc. Some vehicles are old enough to be a...

    towing with a wrecker

That's exactly how the manual says to do it. It lists a few other methods depending on whether you are on a road or off pavement. The manual should be in the Tech Manuals section. I know I got it from somewhere.

    Motor Swapping

Depends on your thinking as to what "cheap" is. I just sold an oil sending unit for a '98 Ram that was $120. Genuine Cummins part. By the time the customer gets it, it has been bought from Cummins by Mopar, then we (the dealership) buy it from Mopar and the price goes up at every turn...

    Motor Swapping

5.9L 6BT Cummins should have no trouble with a Deuce. It is, after all, a medium duty truck engine to begin with. Dodge just decided to put them in light duty trucks for kicks and to beat out the competition.

    trailer loadout

Should this not be in the trailer section??? I don't think it has much to do with the M880 specifically.

The scoop from GL on SF97's

Might want to clarify that a bit. From the information I have gotten from GL, I believe the Bill of Sale will be from GL and not the US Government. Might make a difference to some people, might not.

    Deuces on GL

Should a '67 have the headlamps on the bottom? I though only the earlier non-winch models had the headlamps on the bottom and all the later ones had them on top?

What's the scoop on the Government Rebuilds???

Here's the truck at Eastern that I was referenceing: http://www.easternsurplus.net/273.html And the pic of the MWO tag: http://www.easternsurplus.net/273a.JPG PDF file of the 9-2320-200-35-1 MWO: http://www.cucv.net/064977.pdf so it is possible for a whole truck to be rebuilt at once? If...

What's the scoop on the Government Rebuilds???

Ok, I know just about all of us has seen an Ebay ad, or even Eastern's site where they say a particular truck was "rebuilt by the US Government in (insert year here)". Now most of these ads and so forth show a pic of a MWO tag that is normally attached to the cab near the driver's seat and if...

Umm, Such a short VIN #?

My 1967 M715 has 10858 as the serial number and it was titled under than number as the VIN. When I went to transfer it into my name, I was told that the VIN was taken by some sort of 38' Packard. I asked how and they told me that it was probably a engine serial number. I asked how he got to...
