    PNW Info Thread!

You will then go in the Dupont gate and they have parking and a shuttle bus to the area. Bring your camera. One thing I have always thought I should do is take a lot of vehicle pictures so that some day we can look and see the variations. A few years back when they were trying to design the...

    PNW Info Thread!

I put in a note to MWR today about set up and have not heard back. If I can get off work in time tomorrow, will run by and take a look. Olywadan, do you have current ID and or a sticker on your truck? If not, that may be a problem as all names were to be on the list by 5/1/12. FOWJ will be...

Don't worry Mike, it is only the best one for what we do of the year. :) This will be my 23rd year there and it is my favorite event that I do and the last few years, have been doing 10 to 20 displays a year.

What do you mean scrap backhoe. A little green paint and it would be good to go.:) That must have been a pita to get back on the trailer. And he is luckier that he didn't hurt someone.

    wsucougarx's M923 acquisition

Interesting modifications. Thank you for sharing. Was thinking of putting a couple of the flip down steps as found on containers, on the tailgate of the M54. I have one of the aluminum boarding ladders, but it is big. have one fold down on the tailgate of the M715 and it certainly aids in...

    srodocker's "little" project

Scott, glad to hear you have a team up and ready for Friday. Will be stuck in Portland for most of that day and hoping to get back up to the fort to set a couple of tents up for Saturdays display, so I don't have to do it Saturday morn. did you get your pass?

    srodocker's "little" project

Have been too busy at work to play with it much, but last weekend after shutting down, I would hear an air leak for a little bit and then it would shut off. Have not gone to the TM's yet to see if there is some kind of pressure releif valve. Once it kicked off, I still had plenty of air...

    srodocker's "little" project

Sorry Coug, wasn't paying enought attention, thought that was to me. Yeah Scott, check out those wheel cylinders while you are in there. Althought mine were new, less than 200 miles, they had changed to DOT 3, drew moisture and they were all rusty. Ended up putting new ones in.

    srodocker's "little" project

The 5 ton is good to go. Put a new stainless line on from the aircompressor to the tank, but I think there is still something leaking as it leaks off in a couple of hours. Put on one steel windshield wiper motor and it works, very cool. Especially when it is raining.

So what do you need to do? Put the new spindle on grease some bearings and get it going back together. When are your parts in?

May 12 Centralia Train Depot 100th anniversary

This event is a no go. Failure on the part of the organizers to secure space for vehicles. And no advance advertising that we would be taking part. They then wanted us to park in a remote parking lot,out of the normal pedestrian flow, so I respectfully declined the invitation. They were...

    Air compressor failure

So how did you get it so clean? That is beautiful. Did you have the engine out for other work and clean it then?

    PNW Info Thread!

There is another shop in centralia that I wouldn't recommend. He does good work, but has had my M38 radiator for a long time and just does not seem to get to it. Tom at TNT took the GPW radiator apart, soaked it and rodded out the tubes and it has worked great ever since.

He charged me about 1/2 to 2/3rds the price of a replacement and in one case, you don't find too many new 42 Ford radiators, so except that he needed to neutralize it a bit longer than he did, so will have to pull it and repaint, I was very happy with his work and still have the original Ford...

PNW Armed Forces Day on JBLM.

Think I put the particulars in our PNW thread. May 19 at JBLM, Cowan Field area, we will most likely be behind the outfield fence at the baseball field. Rosters had to be in by 5/1 so registration for this event is closed. If you have a base sticker and ID, you could still get in. I will most...

    PNW Info Thread!

Hammer, there is a guy in Chehalis, TNT radiator. It is a one horse shop and the guy has done a couple of jeep radiators for me and done a very nice job. On Jackson hwy. just north of the Baptist church. He did a reasonable turn around time on them too.

Well that is better than I thought, when you said bearings, I thought the bottom fell out of your engine. Lucky that didn't happen when you were doing one of your high speed runs.:(

That heater looks great. You guys are going to shame me into putting one into the M715. It would be a lot nicer to drive in the winter with one. :)
