We are going to have to start calling you Dr. 5Ton. Nice job on the trouble shooting. The thing about it, is that next time you have this issue, you will know what the problems can be.
Here are a few pics of 1st Sgt. Gifford's CCKW that will be going along on this mission. He built a dog house for the truck and we went and loaded it last Sunday. It loaded well and should give some comfy quarters for the trip.
Bon journey to all of you.
Was looking at a few lots that are up this time and was wondering who would pay that for what they have. When you are starting to get tent parts or tires of unknown conditions, makes you wonder. Then when they do get something neat, they want you to cut it up.
We should also be able to find some room for SS folks at the Olympic Flight Museum Airshow on June 16-17 at Olympia Airport. The Puget Sound Vehicle guys thought they might have some space and could maybe get you into the infield if necessary.
I have an open invite for May 12 at Centralia, WA we will be on the street very close to the Train Depot, in support of their 100th anniversary event. Probaby about 1000 to 1500, depending on crowds. If there are quite a few people, we will stick around.
This one is tentative, but they are looking for some color to go with the days events, honoring the 100th anniversary of the Train depot in Centralia, WA.
We would most likely be parked on a side street adjacent to the Depot.
I would say about 0900 to 1500 depending on attendance.
If anyone is...
You have a nice looking M38A1 there.
In the photo of my jeep. The driver is Mary Kallenberger, medic with the 1 Med. Bn, 1st Division 65 - 66 out at Ft. Riley. The gentleman in the back seat is Luther Davis, 513 PIR, 17th AB, WW2 in the Battle of the Bulge. And the copilot is Alice Miller...
I forgot and it was too dark the other night, but it has a 12/53 date. Except for touch up on the stars and a few rusty spots, this jeep is original. I got it about 24 years ago from a rural fire department and it has a couple of updates, the vinyl numbers and the vinyl seat covers of the...
Nice looking jeep. You have a great starter vehicle there.
Mine is a 1953. Serial number 68014. Hood number is 20997729. This is an original unrestored vehicle. The letters are applied with the vinyl markings of the Vietnam era.
Thank you for the work and anguish on the headlight question. I have a similar problem with headlight on my 715, so now have a better idea where to go back and look harder. I too have changed the 3 way and cleaned grounds but the headlight does not last long, so am thinking your connection or...
Good deal, no inspection. I have 3 or 4 different trailers that I don't have that nice government document, so I will probably have to get them inspected. The airborne equipment trailer I have had for probably 12 years now, guess I should get some paper on it for the reasons you stated.
