Eagerly awaiting reports and more pics. Something i really need to do on the m35A1 as it came with no wiper arms and a snowplow with no wipers would suck. Dosen't run still but hey, gotta do something while waiting on parts
Not to be a PITA but i was just reading the -10 yesterday for the **** of it ( about the 3rd read). Payed close attention to the m108/m60 section as hopefully mine will be home next week. Could have sworn the manual says to put the tranny in 5th. Now you may do it differently cause you repowered...
This truck sat for a looooong time, best guesses from the guy that i got it from was 10 years. Thinking perhaps the hyd head was seized and the shaft almost snapped breaking it free and me removing the hdy head jarred it just enough to snap what ever was holding on. This is the shaft that...
For anyone that hasn't read it here is some backstory http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/45666-need-some-ip-advice-m35a1.html Finally got to pulling the pump yesterday and pulling the quill shaft today. What i found was not amusing. The lower drive gear and spacer simply say there waiting to be...
Personally and this is just IMO a wastegate/blowoff valve is just one more thing to malfunction. It works well as is so i see no reason to monkey with it.
Yeah, guess i don't know my own strength......breaking solid steel with my bear hands...LOL seriously though, i busted something somehow, now what is the big question.
Exactly what i'm hearing from AMgeneral in chat, you can split it there but it takes a ton to get the gov springs back together. Eh, well off with the pump tomorrow it is then. I shall attempt to pull the quill shaft assy and see whats up but i'm feeling like a new injection pump might be in...
Ok guys, as anyone on here regularly prob knows my M35A1 is having Ip issues. Got a new hyd head from doghead but couldn't get the old one off. Long story short, ( and i'm going to do a writeup on it) its a stupid design feature on the code G and F pumps that in all likelyhood should have been...
No one else has mentioned it so i will....not to be a dink but grade 8 bolts are a sure fire way to make your winch go BOOM. If you are blowing stock pins on a pull like that you are doing something wrong. Seen the thread where the guy pulled a loaded 18 wheeler out of the ditch with his??? it...
The 4 Bt can certainly give you some umph. With the right mods a few hundred Hp is not an issue, and its reliable Hp too not like a 6.2 with a turbo, ready to blow....
Well, you don't NEED to replace anything with spin on filters..... you can get the stock ones at any NAPA on the planet. Its all listed in the parts cross ref in the resources section.:-D
Well, hate to say it but you shall stay confused. Some swear by them others swear at them. For what they were designed to do and when they were designed i say they are great, in modern term, eh, they are mediocre.
From hanging around here and reading far too much i personally have concluded 200 is about it. Thats just my own personal opinion, you may detonate yours at 180, really all you can do is put on a pyro and watch it anyway. Haven't seen any real dyno results on a turned up truck.
