    jumpin a deuce

Agreed, stupidity. I have no issue with our troops blowing off some steam but not while purposely destroying equip and placing themselves in great danger. Like i want to pay that guys med bills for the rest of his life cause he just shattered his back when the truck landed.

    Trailer Identification

Well, it looks pretty well offroad in that pic, otherwise i have no idea, sorry. But i'm sure someone has a clue. I would imagine the answer would be not really. More for on road and limited excursions on poorly maintained "roads"

    Trailer Identification

Uh lets see, can't remember the designation but its a pretty standard and common mil flatbed. Bed sides are removable. It on a tow dolly from the looks of it so #3 is sorta both. 5th wheel trailer on a tow dolly with a pintle. I see no reason for it not to be street legal, we have several...

    Post purchase observations and realization

Actually the dropsides will surprise you, easier to swing with one person than the tailgate. Don't ask me why, but it just is. Congrats on the new truck, oh and those t handles can be nice....

Motor City Motors - another Deuce on TV

:ditto: Never run a corn picker in my life, but have seen them and have enough brain cells to see that just won't work......waste of a perfectly good truck :-( but ya know, at least its not in pieces headed for china.

Brake light below fuel guage says I have a problem....

You do realize that not like a check engine light you can ignore and hope it goes away:roll: That light means that your truck just might not even think of slowing next time you hit the brakes. PLEASE look into that, like at least check your fluid. Fluid that i'm suspecting is very low.

    Chinese IP Head

You have a source for US made hydraulic heads that won't cost more than my truck???

    Chinese IP Head

Does this mean you got the o rings i sent?? :-)....sorry to hear about the head not working out. Double check everything again, i find that while you may get quicker doing repetitive tasks you also become more prone to forgetting something entirely silly and stupid but critical.

    Convoy Light Mast Dimensions? M35A2

Huh, never saw them as anything but helpful on a deuce. I mean you are driving a big slow moving truck with poor lighting. You would expect the cops to WANT you to have them on.

    Cold weather and Mep003

Forgot all about that new ban thingie. Use a pair of 75 watt bulbs to keep the chickens warm in the winter. I will keep the waterer thawed and the henhouse livable down to 15 or so, below that plug the second bulb in.:-D

Getting paint off of glass and tires?

No idea how to get the paint off other than the other suggestions but i can tell you how to keep it off. Can't take credit as i picked this up on here a while back but..... Apply liquid dishwashing soap to the tires within a few inches of the rims when painting. Be careful to not get any on the...

Goodyear radials SUCK in the snow!!!

I don't know why so many of you guys are so hard on NDT's. I went and played in a foot of snow last winter with the deuce with no issues at all. I realize a foot isn't that much but with no weight in the back, tires fully aired up and the front axle not pulling i was impressed. Clicked the front...

    Selling in the Forums

DITTO, ya see the "new posts" button is REALLY handy if you don't get on the site for a day or 2. Hit that button and you can see all you missed and not just what is still on the front page.

    M108 from ME to MA...Please??

Nah, that won't work. I have to do a little tinkering on it and the M35A1 tomorrow, then i'll have a better grasp on its issues. The headgasket is on hold more due to money rather than lack of time or effort. Its going to be at least a few hundred bucks for needed supplies and thats just not...

    M108 from ME to MA...Please??

Hmmm, true, well i suppose you have a point. I have not a clue where westminster is to be honest but it has to be a long way west of here. In any case if you happen to be up this way i suppose i could use a spare set of hands :-)
