    M1009 no low beams!

The other night I started my M1009 and was warming it up with the lights on and the headlights flickered and went off! The park lights stayed and the high beams came on when I asked them to, the low beams came on when I switched back down but did not stay on and now they won't come on at all...

WWII Power Wagon with Pop Up Camper

That looks like it could be easily adaptable to ANY platform, very nice. I like the ease of concealment.

    New V-100

There was a bit of an issue coming home from the Burnet Airsho last night, I will let Rory explain but here is a teaser The V is surprisingly easy to hand push...

I think I need a camper like this...

It JUST has bigger tires, the frame and suspension is the same as the on road unit and will not withstand much off road use.

I think I need a camper like this...

I have been looking for photos of that trailer for MONTHS, where did you find that one?! I am working (slowly) on a camper based on an M116A2 frame, here is a thread I started on it: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/66289-pawnshop-builds-m116-flatbed.html

    My "new" M762

Unless it -$500 I am out at this time...

    My "new" M762

I found this data plate photo on G503.com, the SN is 143 units before mine with a delivery date that looks to me like 6-67, so I am good with calling it a 1967!

    My "new" M762

Yep, that was me, I won't bid till the end (no reason to give someone a chance to outbid me:)), though someone did bid after me, just not high enough. I think I will find a genset to put on it, smaller and more maneuverable than an M116A2, and cooler too. There was a M762 w/light set on eBay...

    My "new" M762

After years of looking I found an M762 near enough to me to buy! She is a Johnson, unk build date, serial number 14863, 1979 rebuild date, USMC owned (I am assuming this because of the lifting rings, please advise if I am wrong!). The body is straight, only surface rust and flaking paint/CARC...

    M762 Yard Sale find.

BLESS YOU SIR! It realllly frosts my cake when a Jeeper gets his hands on a rare trailer like this one and cuts it all up to make it "better" off road! These units were MADE to do exactly what you want it to do off road, BEHIND what you are going to be towing it with! The trailer "bobbers" are...

    Show us your Military Trailers

We'll see, I am going to figure out how to pay for the trailer first, gennies later!

How much does that thing weigh? This is only a 1/4t trailer... I AM seriously considering using it for it's intended purpose, genset haulage:)

I am hopefully going to pick my "new" one up tomorrow, M762:

    New V-100

We had fourteen vehicles total: 2x MB/GPW, 3x M37, 2x M1009, M1028, M998, M931A2, Navy CJ2A, Army CJ3B, M35A2 Gun Truck and the V. The one running M38A1 in our group was not running that morning... WE SURE COULD USE ANOTHER ONE!!

    New V-100

It was really cool to have one of our active club members, who is also an active Marine, who's MOS IS driving, drive a vehicle in the parade! Pretty cool CUCV in front too...

    Correct Pintle

BTW: lets see this M762! nopics

    Correct Pintle

That trailer was designed to be pulled behind an M151 so the M151 pintle would be the "correct" one. I second the notion to free your lunette so it rotates, you may have to back the nut off some to free it up, you should be able to turn it by hand with a short bar through it (not EASILY, but by...

    Burning B20 in my M1009

For mixing in older vehicles, I think you would have to have everything that touches the fuel be purpose built to handle B100, and I THINK all new vehicles can handle it (but I am not sure of that)

    Burning B20 in my M1009

I would not be a bad idea to upgrade to modern fuel lines, just in case, the worst that could happen would be that you might waste some money. My Brother in Law works for a dairy farm/bulldozer service that was buying B100 from the chicken fat company and using it straight in un modified...

    Burning B20 in my M1009

AND I want to support recycling waste oil and waste food into fuel. I am not sure what the B100 around here is made of but there is a plant in LaGrange making it from waste chicken fat from a food processor!
