I agree, If road worthy I would say $4,500.
The fact that it is 4WD = $1,000.
The fact that it's a DODGE = $1,000.
The fact that it is an MV = $1,000.
The fact that you could drive it anywhere without a lot of prior work...
As time goes on, It is getting harder and harder to get my key into the door lock to unlock the doors . Is there a easy fix (or any fix ) for this ? I had a new key cut and it also has this problem
I do not want to have to but new locks AND a new ING. switch just so everything is keyed alike...
The majority of the time , the sending unit will have a hole in the float and this is why they always read empty. They are brass but for some reason rust out. they are cheep on e-bay ( about $10. U.S.D.) and you can use the aftermarket ones marketed for the older ford mustangs. ( if same...
I have been a PGR member for many years now, I use the bike in good weather and the M880 in the winter , or with HOTH missions. I have 3 magnetic signs that I put on the truck when using it as an escort.
The best advice I can give is to check in with the RC as soon as possable and follow his...
TOP = SER. DRIVE
BOTTOM LEFT = PANEL BRT.
BOTTOM RIGHT = Should spring down Clockwise,
( But you may have to hold it up in the UNLOCK position to get the other two levers to move where you need them to be )
IMO,
1) The Ford part number you gave in the above post is for a solenoid, try jumping the starter as JAXSO stated above after ensuring you have power to the main lug on the starter. I am not sure how these two would work together. did it run this way before ?
2) The way you wired the...
Current is designed to flow both ways threw that wire
( orginaly should be red from the amp gage to the relay), by disconnecting the orginal wire from the starting relay I dont see how you are getting power from the battery to the fuse box. Also by cutting the black wire before the welded...
Just want to clarify something here, In reguards to the the 383 brown 30051:
Is the color on the SF 595 A chart the same as on the SF 595 B chart ? One link I read said to use the "A" chart, But I can not find a paint store that has it, They only have the "B" chart...
That's a hard question to answer, there are a few mods that are recommended by everybody who has them and it's hard to put a price on a truck that is not right in front of your eyes.
But I would not sell my M880 for less than.
1) Complete with troop seats, cargo cover and blackout lights ...
There not in the stock ( Civi ) wiring diagram, and my truck does not have them.
Hard telling what a previous owner was thinking or trying to accomplish by adding them.
A lot of people have had trouble with the china VR's that you get at most auto part stores, some only last a few months.
I have had good luck with getting MOPAR VR's from summit racing. However, That being said, there are some on another board who also had trouble with the MOPAR VR's also...
The best MPG I ever got on mine is 11.5 MPG. ( after a carb rebuild )
No major mechanical issues, that being said the weak spot is the front wheel bearings, be sure to check them.
Electrical issues will be your biggest problem, ESPECIALLY if a previous owner tried to re-wire something to get...
Check the Brown wire at the bulkhead connector ( both sides and both positions) If no power coming into the connector then check at the headlight switch itself,
( both in park and headlight "on" position )
Then if still no power, check to see if you have power coming into the light switch...
They should be on with the headlights. When you turn on the headlights and loose the front parking lights, do you also loose the tail lights ?
If not, then the problem should be in the front of the truck.
If so, then the problem could be the light switch itself .
also try to wiggle the BO...
Nice M880, However my research leads me to believe that :
1) These trucks did not come with power steering.
2) The civilan version of the '76 -'77 318 had some emissions, that were deleted on the Government contract.
Still a nice article , thanks for sharing :-)
FRONT LINE MILITARY VEHICLES INC, He has a couple NOS one left for $200. ea. plus shipping. cant remember if they were the M880 or Cucv covers but they will interchange with light Modification.
( have to drill different holes in the bows because on cover sits lower , and re locate two of...
A lot of the time the only thing that is wrong with the sending unit is that the float gets a hole in it. Thay can be had on e-bay for $10 . ( I think )
