How common are 700r4 208s? I see a bunch of 205s for sale. So a 208 from a th350 has the same spline input and adapter as the 700r4 208? How about the 208 output differences between a 208 from a 400 vs 350 vs 700r4?
^ Perfect, thanks. For the price of a kit that will allow me to adapt the TC to 27sp I can buy a 205, twin stick it, and a clocking ring.... So Im going to get a TC regardless, might as well get a 205, because its stronger. I agree, I dont "need" it, but I need a TC soooo. Or this is my...
I need to swap 700R4 into my 1028 and can get a great deal on a 32sp input 205 with TH400 adapter, or 27sp 205 with TH350 adapter. Found 3 different 4x4 700R4's all from 91 k5 and Silverado's.
It is my understanding that the 4x4 700R4 is a 27sp output (please verify?). Im not dead set on...
The screw in question has nothing to do with the function of the pumps advance mechanism. This screw simply retians a torsion plate that holds the rotor roller shoes onto the rotor. The rollers spin around the cam ring (thing with hole in it you are looking through) and get pushed in/out buy...
Whats your front caster? Less than 6* has always given me DW/tracking problems. A trick that has worked for me; when you get an alignment have them check caster angle. Whlie its on the rack, take a digital (or dial) angle finder and place it on a fixed, flat axle component (C's work, or...
Its return and the pump is checked (valve on cap, on top of pump = outlet/return fuel check valve) so air into the return side wont get back into the pump, but should be avoided, if air is getting in so is crap, and flowing to the tank. The return/outlet check valve on the IP cap is placed at...
Something to look at, proly isnt the problem, I have only seen it once and it was on an EBFL with a DB2 FIP. Check to see if there is a restriction in return fuel. The hose that loops to the hard line out of the top of the IP. The pumps advance piston works in a balance between housing...
God killed 2 baby seals and the last unicorn when you **** canned that box... He told me that as punishment you must give all that PTO junk to me. What about all the junk attached to the IP that regulates RPM with PTO engaugment, yea he says give me that shat too.
Thats some burly...
Who shipped, details please?

Planning for a DS, couple questions. 1028 should be a NP208 with slip yoke? What are the chances its a NP205 fixed yoke truck? Any good sources for a new DS? Its going to suck if it does need one but Ill plan for the worst....
Hello,
I just got a 1028 and will be picking up in the next week or so. Its coming back to Detroit. Im in the process of completing my EUC at the moment and Im in WI (Oshkosh) for training untill the end of next week.
Idealy I would like to drive it off the lot and head home from Sparta...
Man that is sharp!! I think the box on a 1031 is flat, without the cut out or wheel well arc like the 1010 has, but Im pretty sure the flat lower part of the box on the 1031 is at least as high as the 1010 lower box. I know the 1031 box drops at the bottom, just behind the rear of the tire...
I would like to lift and fit, somewhere between a 37-40" tire on a 1031. Looks like the box is going to get in the way. Easy enough to cut out some material and make mini tubs, but I would like to keep the floor as flat and big as possible. I would do minimal lift to get the tires to fit, so...
You can do some basic stuff like swapping seals and some trouble shooting and repair, but to properly cal the pump takes a pretty $$$ stand. If you know what critical parts to messure, and its a basic rebuild, no new plugers, mini-max ect needed, you can do a bench top rebuild. I have done a...
Dont waste your time pulling the starter untill you have verified a fault. Shotgun approach seems logical in the begining, but always ends up taking more time than a true systematic trouble shooting approach.
Can only go in one way. Its the nipple/fitting that protrudes out of the top of the IP at an angle.
Never punch the guts out of this valve, it does nothing good, dont believe the hype.
OMG people pull the FC to get to the IP gear??
Ensure wire 54A to ESO is getting juice. Also, since its balls cold out, 569B should also be juiced on start up, 569B feeds the cold start ESO on the IP. For trouble shooting just pinch the hose (return fuel) coming off the one way valve/outlet...
Pumps need to be calibrated post rebuild unless you have alot of experience and completley understand how the pump works. With that said, whats wrong with it? Most things can be fixed without screwing up any of the vital perameters (mini-max gov, roller to roller clearance, ect). I have done...
Not to oversimplify but... These sound like low fluid symptoms to me. Do you have any leaks, did you check the fluid properly? I havent split a CUCV x-fer in a looooong time but, its common for a HMMWV x-fer (any gen) to pop the internal x-fer cooler, and fill the x-fer with tranny fluid...
