    Truck Pulling to Right

I am going to try switching the tires. By removing the hub cap I can figure out of a bad wheel bearing is slowing one side down?

    Truck Pulling to Right

The right front wheel has a slight leak of some fluid under the boot. Don't know if it is gear oil or brake fluid. It is blackish brown. Kind of smells but my nose is plugged from allergies haha. The left wheel is good.

    Truck Pulling to Right

The tires on the truck are 9x20ndts. Would a slightly different circumference cause pulling? The bushings on the dog bones seem good. They don't wiggle when I pull/pry on them, although that might not be the right way to test them.

    Truck Pulling to Right

Over the past few years my truck has been pulling to the right. It seems to be getting worse, but is hard to tell. I did a alignment and found that the front was toed in 3/8, so I put it back to 1/8. I also changed out the right front tire to one with less cupping and more tread. The left front...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

I might just get HF's cheapest gun and give it a try. If it doesn't work I'll get the turbine unit. I'm sure I could thin primer and enamel to run both in a 1.4 tip. Primer should be sprayed in a 1.8 or 2. I still need to get water/oil separators and filters. The small in-line desiccant filters...

That compressor is only 6.8cfm at 40psi. Mine is 9cfm. I would think my compressor could work then. Do you know what gun you were using?

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

Ran into an issue with my air compressor. My air compressor is only 9cfm at 40psi and 26 gallon. All the better hvlp guns I look at are 12cfm at 40psi. Harbor freight only makes one gun that is good for 6cfm, the 16$ one with 1.4mm nozzle. I am also looking at the 110$ turbine paint sprayer...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

Well today I went to town to get supplies. It was a wild goose chase looking for all the materials and comparing prices. Half the items on the supply list were either out of stock, I found something better, or was unsure if I really needed it. I still have to get another gallon of primer, paint...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

The old mirrors were green but the glass was faded. I was going to replace the glass but it was just easier picking up new mirrors. I got them at O'Reilly's. I kind of like the stainless steel and never got around to painting them. Don't know if I will.

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

I have never saw these until I talked to a guy who restores log cabins, they are used for sanding logs. They were expensive and hard to find around here a few years ago but now I see them in most stores and it looks like they can be used for automotive work too.

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

Well for the past week we have had temperatures in the 30s for highs and snow, but now the next week is looking to be in the 50s and 60s with temps in the 70s by the weekend. Long range model data shows generally dry weather through May with temperatures in the 70s. Perfect painting weather. I...

    Red's deuce/camper project

Wow red, this bed loading system is pretty cool! How much does your shelter box weigh? I have been looking for a cheap system I could fab up to load 2000lb white pine logs into my truck. Thinking a steel sled with straps to hold the log. It seems there would be huge amounts of force on the...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

I am going to prime and paint the bed, interior, engine bay, and fenders first to stop the rust, then bed liner later. I plan to use 3 gallons of Monstaliner so it will end up being over $350. Monstaliner will be put over Al's Heat and Noise Reducer (cheaper version of Lizardskin) in the cab and...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

I was told I can use any oil based primer. The can doesn't say anything about thinning or spraying. I was told at the store that you just thin with paint thinner if needed and to use a standard hvlp spray gun. I don't know if the HF ones would be considered "standard". Said I don't need to add...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

This winter we picked up 12 tires with tubes/flaps and a new transmission for $750. I think it was a good deal. It is always good to have spares. The transmission currently in the truck is in really good shape. I unloaded the transmission with the bed crane. The tires had ice blocks and water...

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

I am considering LEDs, but I am worried about durability issues and obtaining affordable spares. I did the H4 headlight conversion and I'm happy with it. LED headlights are expensive.

I put air tool oil in my wipers which made them work very well for a few days, then the seals swelled and they stopped working.

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

Well I picked up 3 gallons of Sherwin Williams all surface enamel oil based satin. Was $65 a gallon but got 40% off so it came to around $115 instead of $195. My dad and I were looking at the federal standard color slides and decided that 24087 and 24084 were too dark. Actually went with 34094...
