    Pick up service in Utah

I am in a position to offer pick up and storage services for all GL and GP locations in Utah. I have wreckers available for CUCVs, trailers, and HUMMWVs and can flat tow Dueces, 5 tons, M915, M916, and M920s as long as the tires will hold air. The storage location is in Ogden, Utah. Pick up...

    M923 at truck pulls

This is my m923 pulling the sled at the truck pulls. I pulled 244 ft with the sled set up for the Pro Modified pullers. A full pull is 300 ft and most of the Pro's were in the 195 to 235 ft range. I don't think I did to bad. I ran 6X6 low and just set the Allison in 2nd and let the trans do it's...

    Allison trans retarders?

Do the Allison MT654CR transmissions in the M939 series of trucks have retarders in them? I have seen talk about them being equipped but not hooked up for operation. Is this true and if so what is needed to make functional? It sounds to me that this and an exhaust brake would be helpful when...

    M923 @ car show

Thought I would put up a couple of pics of my truck at the Roy Days Car Show and the prop I put on the Drivers door. People really enjoy seeing the truck.

    Pls hemtt

So who managed to get the HEMTTs out of Fort Benning? They were pretty nice 2006 rigs with PLS self loader backs. I would love to have one but came up seriously short on the bidding.

    Voltage switch/selector for MEP-16 3k gen.

I have what I believe to be a MEP-16. The data plate has been ground off but has a modification plate for conversion to the Yanmar diesel dated 2004. I am in need of the voltage selector that is on the far left of the control panel. I would post a pic but can't for some unknown reason. If anyone...

    Hemtt mk48 fpu

Why are the MK48 HEMTT FPU's no longer being made available for sale through GL? I have been told that GL is selling them all back to Oshkosh for overhaul/upgrading to be resold back to the military. Is this true or is there another reason that will be clouded in hearsay like with the HUMMV...

    Turning up governed RPM

Has anyone turned up the governor on a NHC250? I would like to go up from 2100 to about 2500. I can only get 55mph out of myM923 with 11.00X20s and think at 2500 should be able to get a little more than 60, that would be nice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Winch on 5 ton

Just curious what you pros have to say. I am installing a 20,000# winch on my M923 that came off of a M932A2 I bought for parts. The question is, does that mean I now have a M925 or is it just a M923 with a winch? I personally don't care to change the data plate like some guys seem to do. Just...

    Pulling off steering wheel

1st, I did read the TM. With that said here is my question. Can a 939 series steering wheel be pulled with out the special tools and not cause any damage? If so what is the trick? The one in my M923 is in pretty bad shape but the one in my M932 parts truck is a very nice one. Also, does anyone...

    20K winch weight

I pulled the winch with bumper and frame extensions off of my M932A2 parts truck last weekend. Man that thing has some weight. I'm curious if anyone knows what it weighs? We used a F350 Ford wrecker boom to pull it. It did the job well but we could tell there was some serious weight to it, and...

    Rubber rope

I need to get the rubber rope for the cargo cover, but I need to verify a few things. What is the diameter of the rope(1/4", 5/16", 7mm)? And what is the material it is made of(Buna, silicone, neoprene, viton, EPDM)? and lastly how much length is needed to replaced it all on a M923 cargo cover...

    Camo cargo cover

I now have a camo cover on the my M923. It is the 3 piece Marine style. It does look better than the tan one did. Although I would like the 1 piece with rubber rope style. If some one has one let me know, I'm interested.

    Stow point?

You guys are great, so time to test you with my next question. Under the front of my M923 bed there is a rod style arm with a canvas strap hanging of it, there is one on each side. drivers side is above fuel tank, pass is over tool box. What are these for? Is it a stow point for a tow bar?

    Engine speed sensor?

I know someone will chime in and say go to TM but I am just seeking a simple answer. What is the speed sensor on the tach drive cable at the IP on a nhc250 for? My truck has it but my friends truck is missing it but has the electrical lead #995. I think it is for trans shifting.

    Cargo cover now on

Finally picked up my cargo cover and bows from Markmontana last week and put them on the truck sunday. I think it looks good even though it's tan and not camo, but that's OK as it's near new.

    M939 series axles

Are the A0/A1 and A2 axles the same with the exception of CTIS and flat bottom? Are they the same gear ratio and do all the parts interchange? I ask because my parts truck is a M932A2 and my other truck is a M923A0. Thanks for your help.

    M932A2 tractor

Finally got the truck to the yard last week. Thought I would put up some pics for you guys. Truck is missing dash, generator and a bunch of CTIS and brake stuff. That's OK because I bought the truck primarily for the winch system, hood, and a few other parts I could use. So my primary question...

    M932a2

I finally got my tractor off of Hill AFB and to my yard. I had it trucked to the front of the shop due to 2 flat/rotten tires then set up a towbar to get it out back. I found out that a flat on the front and towbars don't mix well. Did get it out in the yard though. The truck is missing many...
