The pistons are surely very heavy. Throwing them up real fast and yanking them back down is probably hard on the poor rods. Perhaps it is more effective to just push them down slower and harder.
I’ve been looking at this truck for 20 years. It’s within dragging distance.
I run a large machine and welding shop, dump stuff no prob. A dump would be handy for my side work of tree removal. Dump 6’ off the ground not as good, haha! Maybe smol tires.
I’m a deuce guy, so little learning...
Hinged mud flaps. Probably an M35A1 that was updated to A2 engine. Cool! Seems like maybe we had a thread once about the A1 stuff. Hole in the floorboard for stomp starter (mine still has the stomp). Tach below rest of gauge panel. Wiper knob different. Bed mounting....
Looks like a whistler or...
Thinking about one of these (air intake shutoff) maybe from a 5t. Partly for engine runaway but also thinking for brake failure. Shut that thing in gear and she should stop. I also have an exh brake I need to
install.
Engine blew HG again
paid my son and some buddies to swap whole engine and also put a NOS rebuilt transmission in
Air didn’t work. Unloader was assembled wrong, still want the TM to make sure it’s right.
clutch slips, rebuilt 4 finger. Gotta pull trans again 🙄 didn’t know about adjusting...
Also worked on adapting a civvy alternator but never finished. Need to make this a runner and bob it as a trade for an auto trans build for my ‘95 Cummins.
Anyone have a breakdown or rebuild TM so I can verify which way these pistons and seals go? I think someone assembled wrong, no travel, inop. I got it working but want to double check.
Thanks
