‘70 fuel gauge is sticky and only indicates 1/4 tank (empty) to almost full.

Ohmed the sensor. 25ohm at bottom, up to 40 at 1/4 tank, back down to 30 then gradually up to 60ohm.

Reckon I need to replace sender and gauge

Engine blew HG again

paid my son and some buddies to swap whole engine and also put a NOS rebuilt transmission in

Air didn’t work. Unloader was assembled wrong, still want the TM to make sure it’s right.

clutch slips, rebuilt 4 finger. Gotta pull trans again 🙄 didn’t know about adjusting, hopefully that’s it. Maybe throw the one that was working in the truck back in.

Lift pump wouldn’t run…again. Tank full of crud. That busted solder on the return line must have let dirt and moisture in. Apparently, the red pumps are rebuildable. Anyone done it? The side plug makes it a real pain to get in and out of the tank.
I think I’m gonna reconfigure the hanger bracket. Or just put a clicker pump on the cursed thing. Last night I needed to get it out of the shop so I threw a spare bracket in with an old short piece of hose to suck cleaner fuel off the top.

Thinking about one of these (air intake shutoff) maybe from a 5t. Partly for engine runaway but also thinking for brake failure. Shut that thing in gear and she should stop. I also have an exh brake I need to
install.
