Alright fellas. I decided to take a few pics of the yellow screen replacement process for the ammps control panel. Dont know if im the first to post it but here it goes.
I also included ramdom pics of the boards and the cmos battery (1/2AA 3.6v)model that will need to be replaced eventually...
This is a new one for me.
Got an 805a running great for a month and suddenly L1 shows 25vac. L2 and L3 have 120vac each. Anyone have this issue? Im thinking diodes.
So for the first time, I have decided not to bring back an 805b I got with no control panel to stock. I am in the process of stripping this unit of all original electronics and decluterring. All the parts I will keep as spares since i currently have 3 stock units deployed.
My plan is to install...
Howdy folks.
Im looking for an original or alternate fuel level sender for my 15kw unit. Does anybody have the ohm specs and depth of tank handy so I can search for an alternative like Callemecolt did for the 802a?
Thanks
Im worried about overcharging the batteries right now its running at 28vdc idle and 34vdc full revvs. I know analog gauges cannot be trusted but i verified these reading with my digital mm. Anyone seen this issue before? Can the 200 amp generators exitation be lowered a bit?
Im looking for an lmtv mechanic thats willing to travel. I have 2 m1078a1 with issues and I cant find the time to work on them and I cant let them go to waste. I have a generator repair shop so all tools will be available.
So i measure voltage at top soleniod and only get 5 vdc and will not start. I changed start switch for a new one and the issue persists. If i apply 24v from the alt/generator it will start right up and run with no issues. Any pointers?
So I got this 806a off auction and its kicking my arse. I know not to trust meters but its probably right at 50 hours since i does not run right. Let me explain.
After adjusting the governor, since it had a temperamental actuator, i got her to run steady and produce power. After a few seconds of...
Howdy folks. Im having issues with the alternator on a 007b. Its the same used in 006a and 005a. It was not outputting any power so I had it rebuilt in a local shop. Reinstalled and no dice. Took it back and they showed me on a bench test that it was properly working. I believe its an excitation...
Hello. Im looking for a parts manual for the 807a. My unit has a bad fuel level sender and the top part is rusted so model number is not visible. Anyone?
Howdy guys. I have an M1078a1 that I want to get running. I mainly fix gensets and dont have the time right now to dig into the lmtv manuals and do guesswork on the A1 stuff thats not on the manuals. Anyone want to come over to PR for a few days and help me. We can work out reasonable pay and...
Howdy. My M1078a1 wont crank, bot even using the switches under the cab. The fuse panel has the k34 differential led on and my transmission controler is stuck in mode once I turn on the power switch. Im lost.
Howdy folks. Im getting ready to fire up my first m1078a1 but can seem to get the battery wiring right. My battery cover with a diagram is missing and some of the cables were missing too. Manuals for the a1 are not available and my unit has a battrry disconnect not shown in the diagrams of tha...
Howdy folks. My starter sometimes cranks but the engine does not turn over. I took off the clutch cover and found that in some parts of the flywheel there were areas shaved off by the starter not engaging fully. Since I bought it, the m1008 ocasionally does it but otherwise it starts right up...
