From listening to other 803 machines your is defently over speeding. I would also recomend to check the Hz with another measuring instrument. Bmxenbrett has my vote on the injector pump miss timed. But Im sure once you get the information Guy needs he will solve the mystery. Congrats on your...
Has anyone pulled 12 volts off one battery in an 24 volt setup? It has Worked for me but I have heard that the charging system doesn't replenish the battery like it should.

Coug is correct. I'm thinking that when you pull too much current the engine tries to make it but not enough horsepower to make the 1800 rpms so it slows down to where it will do what it can. The real issue is with over current the windings heat to a point to melt the varnish off the coils. Be...
I use a used heat pump HVAC air handler. It works great. Most units have one two or three heating packs in them. Each pack is basicly 5kw each . The first run with my 802a worked great on the first bank but then I was so excited that a GovPlanet 802a was running and generating I forgot the...
I'm too far away but offer it (engine, or gen set, frame, or all) through steel soldiers for free and I'm sure someone in your area will gladly take it. There will still be some parts that are needed out there. At a shop hourly rate it would not be cost effective and it the owners did not spent...
Don't know what happened to everyone but it looks great to me. I does appear to be a lot of work to pull it all together, but you will never know just how many hours you will save the new owners of this MEP sickness at some point we get. Thanks for you help.
Edit-- I should have read to the end...
Went about the vents a little different. Had some old pool sidewall material around and cut it to close off the vent lovers while in storage.

Not sure but with a tank of fuel that is a lot of weight on those tabs. Would a horse mat cut to fit under the tank do better. This is a rubber mat with some air bubbles it it. Maybe cut the mats into strips for moisture drying since a large pad like will keep the surfaces wet. Thanks for the...
I guess I should call the site but thought I would ask here first or also. Can you get a "Preview" at the GovPlanet pickup lot. I have done two pickups and the person there would not let me past the gate to the yard, but I forgot to say that I wanted to "Preview" the up coming equipment. I had...
I have a 802a and a 804a. Looking to add screens to the vents. Any pictures out there? Thinking about cutting up some old Anderson window screen frames for the louvers (sides and top). Does anyone also plug up the other holes (which ones) also to keep mud dobbers out. Here in Maryland we have a...
How far you need to tow? How are the cops in your area? I have been sucessfull for the times I pulled a trailer flat towing it with a light bar bolted on with c clamps. Most distance for me was 120 miles one way. Study the pictures and how the hitch is. Unless it is in disrepair the military's...
Guyfang you also have a collection of TMs and the information to boot. Thanks for all the help for us starting the MEP journey.

Ok One is normal (I have 4 now), two is for spare parts, three is a collector's inventory, but what is it called when you have 7? Also most run out of hiding (from the spouse) places after 2. Just funning you. [emoji3]
