I have the blue and white Permanent Antique plate for all of my MV's. I don't really care which plate I have as long as it's a permanent plate. They all ride in the glove compartment anyway so you never see them.

My M915A1 runs cool also. I usually don't see more than 150 degrees with the AC on running bob tail. It did get up to about 160 degrees on a long grade pulling my M373 trailer. I've checked the top radiator tank with an IR thermometer and it's 10~20 degrees hotter than the dash gauge, still not...

I dove my M915A1 pulling my M373 trailer to NC a couple of months ago. With the trailer in tow the ride is not too bad and I also have an air ride seat. Bobtail will beat you to death. It is slow and you are only going to see 60 mph or a little more if you run it at the red line. Mine runs down...

Are you sure it's fuel related? Pour a little gas in the carb while cranking to see if it fires.

Take it to an auto parts store that has a alternator tester. Make sure you know how the alternator and regulator needs to be connected to turn on the alternator. If the regulator needs a special plug, you may have to supply it or have an alternative way to connect it. You can call first to make...

Unless you have lockout hubs, the entire drive train is turning regardless of the transfer case being locked. The top speed will be the same.

You can tow it with your pickup truck James. I've towed them with my F350. Get a pintle hitch for your slide in receiver.

Disconnect the glow plugs at the solenoid. I can't think of any other high current draws unless something is going on with the glow plug resistor on the firewall.
