Try a new flasher unit . Sounds like it could be that or a bad ground . Flasher is quick and easy , if not then you have to look harder at other things
Glad the transport went good . That unit looks in pretty good shape , how is the rust on it ?? they were sitting outside in South Buffalo for quite a few years .
That copper line is standard on the A3 , some were repaired better than others when they were rebuilt . BTW , I have a complete NOS distribution manifold if you need one . The FUN starts now !!! LOL , good luck , stay safe , bob k
Welcome to the GREEN IRON adventure . Glad everything worked out for you. while I remember , check to see it your A3 has had the Air Compressor relief valve upgrade . It should have a relief valve on a tee fitting on the main line on the top of the compressor . There was a MWO for that . I do...
Good Luck with your trip ! sounds like ADVENTURE time . Is this A3 on the road ??? The M35A3 is not a hard MV to master ,BUT , with that being said , The biggest issue I have with a used A3 is tires that went flat because of the CRAP CTIS system , which then have a tendency to Blow Out on the...
I agree something to that effect happened , most DMV's go off the supplied paperwork to get the vehicle information for title work . All done by a DMV clerk who does not understand Military Vehicles . GL used to do that all the time , a "WHATEVER" on the year/rebuilt status . It is a mess for...
Yup . that's a problem for sure . I can not speak for California , but you need to do some research of your vehicles chassis # and vehicle information plates to show the local officials what was the actual build date . Pictures and paperwork usually help . Keep in mind the MV is only "NEW"...
Yes I am just north of Buffalo , PM me if you need any help . I need a new adventure ! LOL , FYI , they are TALL , got to be at least 8' to the top and WIDE , Bob k
They have been sitting there for YEARS ! I checked them out years ago , glad to see they were auctioned off and hopefully a better life . They did use them for some winter duties , but most of the time the city uses the Fireboat Cotter to break up the river ice .
SSDiesel Supply is located in the Buffalo NY area , let me know and I will check it out for you . I am just down the block from there . SS supply has been around for a while .
WOW , Talk about surplus !!!! I bet most of the MV's were CUT and dumped in the ocean , what a shame . My Navy father told me that when the war ended they were ordered to shove NEW F6F 's over the side as surplus as they needed the room !!!! I guess at the time they were just so much scrap ...
What the serial # tells you is that this is one of the later vehicles towards the end of the refit , which is a good thing . I would bet that is a 97 or later rebuild . CTIS usually doesn't work , I took my system off when I did a PM on the brakes and wheel bearings , converted to A2 bearings ...
The Allison transmission as used in the A3 is a fairly common unit in the commercial world . I have had a A3 for while , never had a problem with it and it worked well . Matter of fact , never had any problems with the the whole POWER PAC combo . As they say just do your PM's and keep after the...
