Just got a request for MV's for the " Thunder Over Niagara" Air Show at the NFAFB being held on 17-18-19 July of 2015 . We are supposed to meet with the Base Commander in the next few weeks for details . We are trying to get use of a Hanger for our MV's display ,and a way to get on base early...
Has not been a problem . The rear tires can't rub unless a dog bone pop's off or something else in the rear suspension falls off !!! LOL , but then you have OTHER BIGGER problems !
You need to download all the TM,'s on your Deuce from this site , it will help you diagnosis your brake problem . You need to do a complete service , PM , to your MV before you really start driving it . Bear in mind you have a single circuit master cylinder system trying to stop a seven ton...
Auction vehicles are BUYER BEWARE period . A few months ago there were auction pictures of a MV described as "would not start with a jump" and in one picture of the engine was a nice HOLE in the block were the rod let go ! You really need to either check out the MV in person or have someone on...
I have a nice roll-bar made out of nice heavy wall 2 1/2" aluminium tube that was on the Bama Mule I picked up . It is FREE for the taking , pm me I can send you better pictures . Hound DOES NOT go with the roll-bar ! LOL , bob k
Have you thought about a CUCV as a daily driver , maybe a 1008 or 1009 . If you get a decent unit and go though all the maintenance items you should be be good to go . BUT as was said these are OLD used Military Vehicles that usually require a lot of TLC . They can get expensive in a hurry ...

Easy way to get the epoxy off the axle is just give it a LITTLE heat and whack it GENTLY with a BFH and it comes right off . Little clean up with a wire wheel and you are good to go . I guess the genius that came up with this axle deal never figured on the axle getting HOT ! go figure . :grd:
Also , be Leary of a MV from a NORTHERN climate , salt/rust is your enemy , check your purchase over carefully BEFORE bidding !!! There have been some coming out of Ft. Drum in NYS , they get a LOT of winter !
